I did not feel safe staying in this hotel. If there had been any hotel rooms available in the city when I arrived, I would have left, but I was stuck. The neighborhood was rough, though I didn’t have any difficulty walking to the conference. However, the room itself was shady. There was no security chain on the door, and the holes where it used to be installed had paint on them, so someone chose not to replace it. I was not able to see out of the peephole. The “courtyard view” is the parking lot. The bathroom window was missing the bottom section of glass. It had been replaced with a flimsy sheet of plastic which didn’t seal the window. There was a lot of dirt from the street accumulated on the windowsill that nobody had attempted to clean. It let in small bugs. The windows in the front of the room were unlocked when I arrived and had so much paint on the latches that it was difficult to get them latched even a little bit. These security issues would be unacceptable in any hotel, but especially one in a rough neighborhood like this one. The shower door was hung incorrectly, so it didn’t close and water got all over the floor. The bathroom floor had dirty footprints and hair on it when I arrived. I had to wipe it with a towel. One morning, I found mold on my breakfast pastry. The staff at the desk were nice, the bed was comfortable, the TV was fancy and allowed streaming from my phone, and the in-room AC unit worked well and was quiet. The provided shampoo, soap, etc smelled nice.

There were many suspicious people lurking around the hotel parking lot. Lots of homeless people roaming the streets surrounding the hotel. The pool was down the street at a different hotel which was not listed on the website. There were roaches in my room. After checking in and heading to my room, I immediately spotted the roaches and took pictures and checked out. Upon checking out I was informed that I wouldn’t not receive a refund for the two night stay even though I didn’t stay there due to the roaches. I was informed that I was supposed to receive a $200 refund for the deposit I put down for the room within 10 business days. It has been a month now, and when I called the hotel the worker hung up on me and continuously forwarded my calls. I still have not received the refund for $200.not sure what kind of scam that place is running.

We stayed for two nights and attended a conference nearby. We were very pleased with our hotel deal! We found the room to be clean. We did sleep well, and the normal city noise did not even wake us! The hotel staff was very friendly. We asked for more coffee for the coffee maker, and room service brought it up quickly. The breakfast was perfect for us. The had a variety of pastries and some fresh fruit to grab, along with coffee. This location worked great for us. We did walk down to the wharf on our day off, which was maybe 3 miles. The MOMA is only a 15 minute walk. We would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here for 2 nights and booked it via Expedia. The hotel itself had great reviews, but upon check-in, I realized it was in a rather unsafe area of town. So if you book here, please be aware of that fact. The hotel sits on Mission, which is equivalent to Skid Row in Los Angeles (although not as bad). There are drug users, people arguing and transients throughout the street. I had to keep my purse and belongings very close to me because I was concerned I would get mugged. Just be extra aware of your surroundings if you plan on walking around. IT IS NOT A SAFE AREA. You've been warned.

The hotel itself really functions more as a hostel: somewhere to sleep at. They do have added security features like requiring a hotel room key to be admitted inside, and from 10pm-6am it's required at both entrances. They have a small continental breakfast with bananas, pastries and coffee from 7am-10am. The elevator is old, and it even broke down on one of the days I stayed. It was not fun walking up 4 flights of stairs.

The room comes with a coffee maker with pods, an ice bucket (the ice machine is located in the lobby/main floor) but no refrigerator or microwave. I personally loved the option to open the windows and let in some fresh air. The room did not AC; only a ceiling fan, but it worked perfectly with the complementing open windows. The bed and linen was clean, so was the restroom. The room is tiny; you walk in to the bedroom area, there's a small closet with a safe, bath robes and a sink. The toilet and shower are separate from the sink. Their hair products and body lotion were great-smelling.

Parking is $30 per day and it's very, very small. I happened to get lucky with the times I parked my car. They also have an on-site security guard in the evenings, which is a great added security feature.

The staff was very attentive and kind. Not sure I would come back as I'm used to a higher level of stay when it comes to hotels, but it has the basics and aside from the location, the hotel...

DO NOT STAY HERE. I had my personal information compromised my first night here. I was in town for the Dreamforce conference and had my personal 401k documents out with all of my info including my Social security number. I never in my decades long life of travel for work and pleasure have my room cleaned the first 3 days of any trip. I put the do not disturb sign on my door as I ALWAYS do. I come back to my room to find my bed made, my towels replaced my do not disturbed sign on the floor of the room right by the door (which the hotel is using as an excuse to why the room was cleaned when it probably fell off the doorknob once the door was open. My personal documents had been moved. I called the front desk immediately with my concern. They got back to me the next day only offering me a late checkout for my concern. I requested the information of the person who cleaned my room for security should I have to deal with the repercussions of having my information compromised. They were not cooperative or responsive. Not I’m going to have to go through the stress of freezing my accounts and all the other reposting for my information being compromised and the costs associated with that. The hotel could care less.

There is no AC in the rooms, the location is in a terrible, dangerous and unwalkable area, people in the streets will keep you up all night with the noise. The elevator always had a stench to it.

I tried to be cordial and work with the hotel to resolve my issue or at the very least offer them an opportunity to make me feel comfortable. So now I am forced to take legal action. Rest assured Dreamforce will also be made aware as to not feature this hotel for next year’s conference.

Front staff was polite for the most part. Gabriel is smug and makes you feel like you’re wasting his time and like your very valid concerns are not his problem when...
