Travel back in time at one of SF's coolest hidden gems! The Box SF is an event space and antique print and advertising mercantile housed in a historic SoMa building. Our store is modeled after an 1850's country store and every item you see is on sale! Each month we open our space up to local creators for our Artists and Makers Fair. Our next one takes place in May 3-4 and vendor spaces are still available. We're open from 10am-5pm daily and details about all our upcoming fairs are in our bio. Hope to see you soon! #sanfrancisco #bayarea #artfair #craftfair #shoplocal #pov #fyp #hiddengems #soma #california #callforartists

If you’re a lover of history and vintage treasures, The Box S.F. is an absolute gem! Nestled in San Francisco, this antique store is a curated journey through time, showcasing rare and one-of-a-kind pieces from the early 1800s to World War II. The moment you step inside, you’re transported to a different era, with each corner filled with beautifully preserved artifacts, furniture, and ephemera that tell fascinating stories of the past. The attention to detail in the selection is incredible—every piece feels like it was chosen with care and a deep appreciation for history. Whether you’re an antique collector or simply looking for a unique statement piece for your home, you’ll find something special here. The staff is knowledgeable and passionate, always ready to share the history behind an item or help you uncover hidden gems. It’s more than a store; it’s an experience that sparks curiosity and nostalgia. If you’re in San Francisco, The Box S.F. is a must-visit for history buffs and design enthusiasts alike!

This is a MUST see, when visiting SF. It is one of the most unique antique and ephemera mercantiles I’ve ever been too. The owner Mark and his staff are incredibly knowledgeable and very kind. It is like a museum you can interact with and purchase. I now have some incredible pieces I’ve added to my stationary and ephemera collection. Hope to photograph a wedding one day there. Such a beautiful event space where they hold regular artists markets.

I had a great visit today as a first time customer. I had been following The Box SF on Instagram for a while, but seeing the scale of the shop in person was so impressive! There is such a huge volume of stuff there, but it's so well organized and categorized. Mark, the owner, was there during my visit and was great about showing me areas of the store that aligned with my interests. He's very kind and knowledgeable, and I'm excited for my next visit because I could easily spend hours and hours looking around at...

This is the place I call “Heaven on earth” it’s the most impressive and important collection of old vintage and antique “everything pressed” I’ve ever seen. So much inspiration and true hand crafted art! And the best, you can buy things. Mark the owner is also a wonderful guy and the service is a 5 star! It’s a must place to visit!

I went with some friends who really aren’t that into these things, but they were blown away and loved it.

Such an...
