La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Marcos — Hotel in San Marcos

If I could give it negative Stars I truly would one of the most disgusting places to stay in. check-in was fine I understand they were almost fully booked. When we get to our room I myself go to the bathroom when I turn on the lights to wash my hands I see a plant growing out of the sink. I turn on the bathtub water let it run immediately starts filling up because it was clogged Razer Blade covers in the sink hole. Look up on the wall nothing but mildew that could easily been cleaned off. Walk towards where the beds are, and looks like we had a guest of Our Own a 6in lizard hanging from the wall. immediately call the front desk I have to say she was a great actress over the phone I walk down stairs to go get a different key for a different room (take the mind the night manager gave a great performance almost about to cry talking about it was unacceptable that she was going to have a talk with her cleaning staff she literally said it with tears in her eyes we try to brush it off and make the best of it) that room was just as bad as the first one housekeeping was not done properly hair everywhere filthy room. Filthy towels still stained. As we were leaving at 4 in the morning my fiance walks in to return the keys and get a receipt,the security guard and night manager are speaking amongst each other not noticing my fiance behind them standing there where the manager was saying that we were probably lying over everything we were saying to get a discount. I will say she did offer us a discount I refused it we just wanted to get some rest but by the time they would have come up and clean we decided just to clean it our self. Instead of calling your customers Liars why not walk upstairs and check for yourself. very disappointed at the night manager looks like not only her cleaning staff needs retraining looks like manager also needs training. And just to the morning manager you might want to let your night manager know not everybody needs to know her problems going on in here life, just handle the customers keep your business of your own...

This is literally the worst hotel I’ve ever been to! If there were a negative star rating, I would give them a negative 5. I will also be contacting corporate because my experience was unacceptable! We get into our room and the AC is making a horrible sound that makes it difficult to hear yourself think.

I go up to the front to tell manager to see what can be done. She says she will come down and look at it. I paid 115$ for this room, mind you. The manager comes down, and my husband is sitting on the edge of the bed with my pillow I brought with me under him. All of my belongings were on the bed. I’m sitting in the chair. She comes in does a half butt job acting like she knows what she’s doing and turns off and on the ac then hits it on the side. Basically tells me there is nothing she can do. I ask to be switched rooms and she says she’s full. I then ask what we’re supposed to do. Her response is turn up the tv really loud.

Well, I tell my sister what is going on (she is traveling with me and in the other side of the hotel. Let her hear the recording of the AC unit. She calls the hotel to see if they have any vacancies yes, they do. 3 of them!

This woman has has lied to me. She goes up to the front with me to talk to the manager, and the manager gets really nasty with us. Stating that my room was dirty because there was “some man laying on the bed” first of all, he was sitting on the end of the bed, and secondly...that comforter hadn’t been changed since 2005. So, no, my husband did not dirty up the room by sitting on the bed.

I call Priceline (I booked through them) tell them the situation, and we are kicked out of the hotel! I have NEVER been kicked out of a hotel in my life. She threatened to call the cops on me. I NEVER WAS UGLY TO HER, and this racist lady kicks us out of the hotel.

I only wanted what I paid for, and to be able to have a comfortable night sleep without the horrible noise coming from that AC unit. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! They do not...

If I could give zero stars I would. For starters, we check into the hotel and it doesn’t look like the pictures online at all. The front desk guy gives us two room keys. We try to open the door without success. We walk back to the front desk and tell him the issue. He is confused but remakes the key. We finally get into the room, but only due to the fact the person that occupied the room opened the door. We went back to the front desk and told the guy what happened. He was super confused and called that room asking what name their reservation was under because he didn’t see them in the system. It was a mess from that moment. While we are at the front desk area, there are late teens early 20’s guys playing filthy music (like the song literally described how he wanted to F this women and then have her suck his junk). It was currently 1:30 am at this time, so I am passed annoyed and just want to go to sleep. The front desk guy gets us another room finally. He makes sure the door opens and everything. We go upstairs and the door doesn’t seal properly. We are two single women on a weekend getaway and this hotel was filled with men workers. It felt so unsafe, but I had called every hotel in the area and they were all booked. We get into the room and it is filthy. There is hair everywhere in the bathroom. The floor looks like it hadn’t been vacuumed in years. The beds were the part that made me sick to my stomach. One bed had lollipop residue that was still sticky on it as well as many other things. The bed I attempted to get a little sleep in had brown stuff on the sheets and was disgusting. I brought my own blanket, so I figured I might be safe… until I broke out in hives. No amount of soap and water could wash that away. It was horrible. I will say they did let me cancel the rest of the nights without any issue. They slightly discounted the rate...
