First Watch — Restaurant in San Marcos

First time dining here this past sunday and the food and service WAS HORRIBLE. I came in and check in, asked the gentleman how long the wait was since it was a sunday and he said “5-10mins” said great and waited. About 20-25mins pasted by and noticed it was taking awhile…went up and ask how much longer and the gentleman said about another 10. About another 20 mins go by and checked again and the gentleman apologized and said i’ll take you right now. Then this hispanic short GIRL waitress told the gentleman no don’t seat them and make them wait longer ALL IN FRONT OF ME. I said i’m just going to let it go. Then we continue to wait and saw people that got here after us and they were being seated so then I went up to a different waiter and she said 2 more parties in front of you and then the hispanic girl made a face at the waiter and she looked at me. They finally sit us and the gentleman sits us and then I request to speak with a manager and the gentleman proceeded to say “i’m sorry, that waiter girl was trippin”. The manager comes and basically disregard’s the situation and said i’ll take care of your drinks, WE HAD ONE DRINK FOR AN OVER WAIT LONG AND SOME WAITER GIRL THAT WAS IN A MOOD THAT DIDN'T WANT TO SIT US. Mind you I don’t live in San Marcos, was visiting a friend. We ended up getting our food and one plate had a hair, another had burnt bacon and another a bug. Something needs to be done about this. Never in my life have I had a bad experience at a restaurant and I am not one...

This is my third time here. Everytime, the food is great. But unfortunately the service has always been sub par. I’m not sure if they work off of a tip pool system with the whole server team but the service definitely gives that vibe. Today I ordered the French toast and food was delicious, I asked for a water and didn’t get it until after I already had my food. And the only reason I even got it, was because the shift lead or manager came to ask how I was as she was doing table checks , and I told her I was still waiting on my water. She came out with my water. Towards the end of me finishing my food I noticed I had what felt like a cut on my lip, almost like a paper cut. I didn’t think much of it until right before I left, I noticed the cup I was given had a crack on the rim of the cup that was given to me. Which not going to lie, is kind of terrible. Considering the shift manager or manager gave it to me.

Overall, minus service, the chefs really know what they’re doing and food was good. Just make sure to check your cups and also hope you get good service when...

First time there. Very nice atmosphere. I was seated first so I wanted some coffee. I noticed a small group of waitreses & waiter by the bar talking. (one of them was my waitress). I finally got up and found the manager who was bussing a table. I asked him if I could get some coffee. He said he would get my waitress. She came over and apologized and said she didn't see me.(Sorry but I don't believe that. she was too busy shooting the you know what. I was staring right at her). Her performance didn't improve. I ordered the multi-grain pancake, 2 eggs and sausage patty. When it came, it was not hot so I asked if it could be put in the microwave for a minute. To my surprise, they don't have one??? So they cooked me another breakfast, which also came out lukewarm. I did like the pitcher of coffee, though a small pitcher. I had to get it refilled a couple of times. Overall, my first impression was disappointing. It was pricey for a lukewarm breakfast (get a microwave!). I won't...
