I'm a CP Diamond member, so my experiences are vast. That said, this was by far the worst experience I've had with a hotel under the Choice umbrella.
My first room had multiple blood stains on the bed sheets and other discolored areas that I will refrain from describing. I'll allow you to use your imagination. When I went to the front desk, the employee was incredulous -- as in, that can't possibly be. Well, when she showed up to my room and saw the sheets, her eyes almost popped out of her head. Voila, I had a new room.
When I walked into the next room, the first thing my eyes feasted on were about 10 red circular spots on the carpet. My first thought? "You can't be serious." I once again went down to the front desk, and I was told not to worry. Why, you may ask? Because there was a sticky note to inform anyone staying in that particular room that those spots are not blood, but hair dye remnants instead. You can't make this stuff up. And on top of that, the sink in the bathroom area didn't work; there wasn't a drop of water coming from the faucet. Once again, I was on the move.
The third room met expectations, but the tone had already been set. It was a terrible, eye-opening experience. The first two rooms had so many nonverbal signs of "we simply don't care." Needless to say, that will be my last stay at the Quality Inn...
Read moreHotel was better than expected. From the outside, hotel seems older and very simple. I was worried from 1st impression. I needed to find a hotel for the Labor Day weekend that was not expensive but descent. For no more than $260 for 2 nights, I can say that I was very pleased. Hotel room was clean. I chose 1st floor, non smoking. We had a fridge and a microwave, which was very helpful. Breakfast was included. Some reviews complain about not having waffles. But how can I complain when you get free eggs, sausage patties, cereal, bagels, toasted bread, sweet bread, diff fruit yogurt, milk, coffee, orange and Apple juice, etc. This is a great breakfast in my opinion. The pool is smaller than I thought, and nobody seemed to want to get in it. Not sure if it was cleaned enough to swim in it, but the sitting area was decent enough to sit and relax. Sunday night we took out our bbq pit and decided to have a nice bbq dinner by the pool and listened to some music and have some drinks. Overall, the stay was excellent. I had my 18 month old twins, and my husband. Felt very safe. Another couple also stayed in the same hotel and they were very pleased. Would recommend it. Front desk service...
