Order number 0068698341 I purchased a Ryobi 18-volt Jump Starter Kit factory blemished for $108 and a Rigid 18-volt High Torque Impact Wrench (tool only) factory refurbished for $120 plus $14.99 shipping, plus tax was going to be $263, yesterday evening, March 20th around 10 pm on a 40% off sale. Today my invoice was upcharged by $100 to $373. Contacted Customer Service, which offered no help but directed me to contact them via email, asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I’d have to contact them through email!!! I didn't take a screenshot of the invoice because I didn't think it was necessary. Direct Tools has always been a reputable company until now. They deliberately changed the invoice price. And now I have to deal with this situation through Bush League email contact, whoever thought this was a good idea should be fired. Directtools is an unethical company and I will no longer be purchasing items from this company. I've bought a lot of tools and have spent a lot of money here and l've sent a lot of people to do business here. That will sadly end. You obviously don't care about your customers anymore, so l'm not expecting you to do the right thing, like honor your agreement and contact me personally. At this point, I'm very disillusioned and disappointed that this has come to pass. I do not recommend...
Read moreSo here’s the scoop... They’re not a Home Depot outlet. They are actually owned by a group called TTI (Techtronic Industries) who owns all the brands they sell (Ridgid power tools, Ryobi, Milwaukee, Etc.). The Home Depot is one of their biggest distributors. But let get down to the meat . They sell factory blemished tools (which is new) and reconditioned tools. Everything is backed up with a manufacturer warranty and a in-store warranty. The story about the in-store warrenty is that you have 30 days for and even exchange, so if the there is someone wrong with the product you can take it back and they will replace it. Now they don’t offer any refunds but the offer the even exchange. Now this is a good way to get tools without having to pay a fortune. I have bought many things from the store, from power tools to power washers to battery power mowers and string trimmers and not have any problem. So I give the store 5 stars, and when I do come to a problem I know the associates at the store will help me to the best of the abilities. The store have changed over a 3 year thanks to the store manager Marlene who has brought the store back up and has made great changes. Give the store a chance see...
Read moreThe online service was once good. However that has changed to really bad. Orders take forever to ship. Agents do not respond to emails. When by phone, they just provide what you want to hear or place you on forever hold. When you continue to hold for too long, they simply disconnect. Never provide positive actions or results. Closest store is 4 hours away, but may be a better option than trying to deal with online customer no-service.
I spoke with some who insisted she was a senior lead support person, and insisted what she is telling me was fact. The shipment was being picked as we spoke and was shipping that day. I should receive an email with tracking details within 48 hrs. As soon as I hung up from the call, I had already received an email stating it was going to be another week and a half before it would ship. This is well over 6 weeks from when I placed the order. The last order I placed took a month to receive. This one will be around 2 months. Have placed additional orders for Ryobi items, at similar pricing, from another online company and received in a...
