So one day about 2-3 weeks ago (meant to post earlier but forgot), my mom, her mom, my little sister, and I stopped off here, and we went through the drive through, ordered our drinks, and I ALWAYS order the same thing, very simple, easy non-complicated, and very little caffeine (explaining in a second), I always order a Viente Double Chocolate Chip Frappecinno during summer months, nothing hard. Well instead given something that did not look nor taste like it, and had about 6 pumps of mocha in it! SIX PUMPS OF MOCHA!!! Now I am over 8 months pregnant at this time, and so I go in the store and tell the guy, and he's like, "oh yeah I made a cookie crumble, which is basically the same thing" and I said, "No it's not, this is what was ordered repeated my order 3-4x during exchange and told him Mocha has coffee in it which is highly caffeinated" he wanted to sit there and tell me "Mocha does not have coffee in it" kept running his mouth off, and quite frankly would not let me finish what I was going to say. Very rude and unprofessional, and quite frankly, there was no need for it. Now, I have worked in customer service before, I know it's difficult, I know and understand places are short staffed, I get that, I understand that, and I'm willing to work with it, and thats why I went in there pilotely and asked that they give me what I originally order. But when you mouth off and try and tell me something that 1. I know is false, and 2. When you try and convince me to take something that I technically cannot have, and you won't even let me speak, yeah I have issues with that. For those who don't know pregnant women are only alloted 200mg of caffeine a day! Which is more than you think, but still not a lot, thankfully pre-pregnancy I was used to only about 300-400 at most a day, if that, so that cut back was easy for me. I've been giving them money every year for TWENTY- FOUR YEARS. They would not give me a FIVE DOLLAR coffee for my bday because I haven't been using the stupid app! I have been a member since before smartphones existed! I joined online on my laptop before apps even existed! And because I hadn't scanned it, they wouldn't let me have my one free bday drink. They have been going downhill anyways. They no longer offer sugar free drinks so my mother and brother who are type1 diabetics already had to stop coming here. Well... they just lost their 24 year customer over $5. Coyote Coffee and Ecity Java is way better anywhere. As most smaller non-corporate places are! I'm so sick of our better-than-thou-corporate-(A)ā©holesale places treating people so rudely. I've spent sssssoooooo much money here. And was going to buy a second drink to take to my bf while he was working and a treat. But instead I'm going to go spend my money somewhere else. All over $5. However after standing in what I assumed was the line for about 5 minutes, another customer entered and bought a seasonal cup, cashing out by the register.
The staff here did not greet me, did not provide any reassurance of eventual service and allowed me to stand in an empty coffee shop aimlessly looking around, too shy to ask for service. I know I could have just asked for service however it's been a long morning and I really wasn't looking to speak much. Just order a coffee and leave. I don't expect five star service from a Starbucks, but being actively ignored, and not a single word spoken from any of the staff as I stood clearly patiently waiting to make an order is crazy.
I guess I wasn't included in whatever this shop had going on. I definitely felt not welcomed, very weird atmosphere from 4+ employees, especially since I was the only customer in the whole lobby. Refer to my image.
