We were driving up Water st when we saw Dig gardens and decided to stop and go inside. From outside it seems like a small store but once you go in you'll realize it is a pretty good size garden store. They carry good selection hard to find plants, candles, kitchen stuff, patio furniture, fountains, etc. Their prices are on the more expensive side but they do carry higher quality inventory. The personnel were very nice and knowledgeable and would explain exactly how to take care of any plants. All in all if you're looking for something more unique for your house or patio stop by here and you may just find what you were looking for.

04.18.24 Next to Chase Bank, nearby Safeway, Santa Cruz Visitors Center is diagonally across from the 4-way intersection at Ocean St. Beautiful garden/plant nursery with so many amazing variety of beautiful and unique plants! Smells so nice inside the gift shop area (right of front entrance) where they sell candles & such. The small section of bonsai plants (in the outdoor nursery) were lovely to see and the huge wall assortment of live succulents was spectacular, like living artwork. Cashier girls were inattentive but the smiling lady who asked if she could help us was just wonderful! We'll definitely be back.

It's a beautiful shop with indoor and outdoor sections. It has a great variety of plants, especially succulents! All of them are very healthy. You have to see their beautiful succulent wall! I'm writing this post during the pandemic, and they limit the number of people in the store so it won't be crowded and you and them feel safe. It looks like there is a make your-own-terrarium setup in the back, but it was closed during this time. It looked awesome though! I picked up a few beautiful succulents and some pots. I would definitely come again!

This place is a trip and a 1/2 let me tell Ya I’m a local and always walking past here I always wondered what they have besides plants here and let me tell ya After close to 4 years of wondering I finally went in I was greeted by the lady who welcomed me and offered me sanitizer and asked if she could be of any assistance then. By a younger male who was also willing to assist Mind you I’m physically challenged and so they were gracious about helping the one side was from back East so we had some commonalities He was well versed and I will be going back the there as they were outta stock on what I was interested in finding A mini Botanical garden is what this place is if you ever been to Chicago I know what I mean of not look it up

Nevertheless Thank you to the owners for having such awesome customer service and We sure are blessed to have stored like this in...

I visited the Dig Gardens Water St. location on Monday, 2/10, eager to find something special for a loved one’s birthday. I was one of the first customers to walk in at 10 a.m., but instead of a warm welcome, I was immediately met with a cold, judgmental look. One of the two girls working asked if I needed help, to which I politely replied, "I'm just looking for now, thank you." But even after that, I was met with the same disapproving gaze. As I wandered through the store, trying to find the perfect gift, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being scrutinized, almost as if I didn’t belong. It was unsettling and uncomfortable—like I was being watched, not with care, but with judgment, as though I was somehow an inconvenience just for browsing. It’s disheartening to think that something as simple as shopping could leave me feeling so...

Whenever I’m in Santa Cruz I always made sure to stop in the store. They have a great selection of plants, planters and home goods. Their outdoor area is beautiful. But the last time I was there left a bad taste in my mouth — my boyfriend was with me and one staff person was incredibly rude to him. Condescending and disrespectful for no good reason. And when I used the bathroom key, which was attached to a full-size garden trowel, the cute little leather string detached when I was turning the lock and the implement fell and just missed one of my toes LOL ...When I went to tell them what had happened and why it was taken apart the other staff person looked at the first and then sighed as if I had done something wrong. If anything, I expected an apology (I work in customer service as well).

I haven’t been back since that was a year...
