The food was delicious, very fresh, looked beautiful. The robot is a neat tool for delivering sushi. That's pretty cool. There was one server literally sprinting upstairs and downstairs to try to help everybody. On one hand, we didn't get the correct amount of silverware for the people at our table and didn't see our server for 15 minutes at a time. On the other hand, the poor lady was trying to run the whole ship herself. So based off of one person serving an entire two-level restaurant, it would be a seven Stars out of five. As far as my actual experience receiving service not so great. If I were to do this again I would just get my food to go. Also, I have no idea who picked the music or the volume for the music but both were a bad choice. It was the strangest loudest music. We had to yell to hear each other over the table. Also heads up the miso comes in like a double wall stainless steel bowl maybe so it feels safe to eat touching from the outside but it's way hotter on the inside.

Sushi Rosa is just amazing, they get better every time I’m there. I’d purchased a gift certificate here for my daughter for her birthday and luckily it remained unused until my visit. It’s a beautiful location in a great upbeat section of Santa Rosa just down from the mall. Everyone who works there are professionals super at their jobs and very friendly. The sushi is out of this world, EVERYTHING I have tried has been perfect. I always order their special roll of the day and this time it was the Heavy Metal Roll pictured with the crushed macadamia on top. This place in my mind stands up to any of the others I’ve been to in Northern California.

Compared to other sushi restaurants this place does everything over others: presentation, quality, price justification, service. We came on a Saturday afternoon. Normally I order a roll and an entree because I can eat both. I tried that here and was amazed at how much food their bento box has. I had to take it home after I plowed through my baked salmon roll and only got up to 1/4 of my box before feeling full. I think most people come to see their server robot. It's a cute gimmick for social media. Even without the robot, I would eat here again when I crave sushi for dine-in.

I eat here multiple times each time I'm in town for business. Takeout or dine in never disappoints. But this trip really stood out as special. I got takeout on this weekend and enjoyed it so much. The cherry blossom roll is amazing. Same with he spicy tuna roll. So, I went back Monday and let them know how much I enjoyed the cherry blossom roll and asked if the chef would make me two rolls based on that. He did and they were amazing. I also sampled the bluefin tuna they'd just got in house. It was the most tender and best sashimi I'd ever had, just like butter. And the fresh wasabi was a perfect touch. A friend and I went back in last night and just asked the chef and manager (she is always so pleasant) to decide for us based on my previous orders. They brought off the menu rolls and more bluefin. It was a great experience and at a completely fair price. Their pride was very obvious, as it should be. I realize Santa Rosa has loads of great spots to eat. But Sushi Rosa stands out to me. And I will continue to come here when I'm in Santa Rosa.

To the young man who made our sushi, we appreciate your skill and creativity. Keep up the...

Our server was very sweet and welcoming. Sadly, that was the only good thing from this restaurant. The food was absolutely awful, even the water tasted "unclean". My husband ordered their seafood ramen, it tasted like old dirty dish water and the cup-o-noodle style ramen was hard in the center, and just gross. I felt as if I was certain to become ill if I had more than one bite. I ordered their baked salmon roll which featured a grainy/gritty white sauce that reminded me of beer cheese, not sure what it was, maybe chunky mayo? Not sure, but nonetheless, really something awful. We each took one bite and felt it would be safer for our wellbeing to leave without eating more. The waiter kindly removed both meals from our check and we paid for the appetizer we shared (shrimp shumai - which was okay, I'd bet money it was originally frozen and likely why it wasn't as bad as the other two meals). I would avoid this spot...
