Story Time: A Smoothie Experience Gone Wrong ✨🥤

So this morning when I was on my way to work, I decided to go down the street to get my favorite peanut butter cup 🍫🥜. When I pulled up, thank god nobody was in line, so it was just me. It was about 9 a.m., and a lady’s voice came on the intercom saying, “Welcome to Tropical Smoothie,” but didn’t say “Can I help you?” or “How can I assist you?” She said “Welcome” twice, and I was like, “Um, hello?” She responded with “Yes?” 😒. I was like, “Okay, wow,” and told her I wanted a peanut butter cup with extra bananas 🍌. She asked for the name, and I told her, “Lina” (L-E-N-A), but she repeated it wrong and said “Linda.” 🤦🏽♀️ I was like, alright then.
When I got to the window, she didn’t greet me, had an attitude 😤, and was like, “Yeah, your order is like $10 something.” I said, “Yeah, out of 20.” She SNATCHED the money out of my hand 😳, gave me my drink with a side of attitude 😑, and didn’t say thank you or anything. It was a young girl, and I can’t remember if she had a name tag on, but that was just terrible. 🌟 Tropical Smoothie is a BEAUTIFUL brand—love the building, love the colors, and I enjoy getting my morning smoothie. But that customer service was HORRIBLE. This happened at the Abercorn location, right next to the hotel that got burnt down 🔥.
So, if the general manager or anyone sees this, you gotta realize if you’re hiring young people, they need to have a BETTER attitude. Having a SHADY attitude at the window is NEVER a good look. Thank you for...

I am a delivery driver. Folks here are always slow moving when management isn’t there. 30 min + for every order I’ve ever had. However, today was very bad.
After waiting around for 15 -20 minutes in a nearly empty store with no acknowledgement and barely moving employees, I went to the counter to ask when the order would be finished. I had other orders in my car and was perfectly okay with letting another driver take this one if it was long. No worries. The driver thru was full.
The person I asked this to was white, shorter light purple hair and a septum nose ring. Although I had a child on one hip and a delivery bag in my other hand, they (she?) shoved the smoothies at me. Just shoved them at my torso for me to hold between my arm and body. Really unnecessary since the counter was there and I had already seen the incomplete order they were shoving at me. No carrier. They were absolutely melted, totally disgusting.. I’d never deliver that to a customer. They got smoothie on my shirt the cups were so disgusting. No regard for me as another worker or human.
I asked when the rest of the order would be out. “I don’t know was the reply. I asked if they could find out. I could tell she heard me, yet looked annoyed and disregarded me. Food prep staff seemed mostly in the back and also ignored me when I tried to get their attention. Read moreVery disappointed. Typically, I love this restaurant and at one point would go every single day after class and right before work. I've spoken highly of them and have even encouraged my family and friends to patronize them. The caveat is the quality of service, I believe that this can be a great business however they tend to let too many things fall through the cracks when it comes to service. When it comes to the drive thru, extended wait times have been the norm in my experience however the nature of this review is to address their doordash procedures. This is the third time that my order has been incorrect (or in this case completely missing) the first time, I was diagnosed with covid and wanted to order from my favorite fast food spot at the time since I couldn't leave my home and what was delivered to me was NOT what I ordered at all. I'm not sure what it was to be honest but they had it all wrong. Today, they failed to make my order completely and when the delivery person arrived my order had been mixed in with someone else's so I handed it back and decided that I just wouldn't eat given that I work from home and my lunch break would be over within minutes. I have made the conscience decision that I will no longer patronize this chain. I wanted so bad to give you all another opportunity to correct your actions but I guess the third time is not the charm.
