5-Star Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the Crown Inn, North Seattle
“A Hidden Gem for Budget Travelers in North Seattle!”
If you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, and affordable place to stay in North Seattle, the Crown Inn is a fantastic choice that truly delivers great value for your money. While the surrounding district may not be the most glamorous, the hotel itself exceeded our expectations in every way and made for a very enjoyable night’s stay.
Excellent Value and Location
One of the standout features of the Crown Inn is its unbeatable pricing. Instead of paying the $370–$400 per night that’s common at other Seattle hotels, we were able to stay here for a fraction of the cost—well within the two-figure range plus tax. This makes it an ideal option for travelers who want to save money without sacrificing comfort or cleanliness.
The location is practical, with several convenient dining and shopping options nearby. We discovered Fu Shen, a really nice restaurant within walking distance. Although it’s carry-out only, I recommend driving there for convenience. There’s also an IHOP just around the corner, and a grocery store right behind it, making it easy to grab a meal or stock up on essentials during your stay.
Comfortable, Well-Equipped Rooms
Our room was impressively clean and thoughtfully equipped. Each room comes with a kitchen area featuring a stove, sink, refrigerator, and microwave—perfect for longer stays or anyone who prefers to prepare their own meals. The beds are firm but surprisingly comfortable, and the pillows were especially nice, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.
The bathroom was another highlight. The bathtub was spotless and provided wonderfully hot water, which was a real treat after a long day of exploring the city.
Overall Experience
Despite the modest neighborhood, we felt safe and well taken care of at the Crown Inn. The staff was friendly and efficient, making check-in and check-out a breeze. The combination of cleanliness, comfort, and value made our stay memorable and enjoyable.
Final Recommendation
If you’re seeking a budget-friendly hotel in North Seattle that doesn’t compromise on quality, I highly recommend the Crown Inn. It’s a smart choice for travelers who want to stretch their dollars without giving up the essentials of a good night’s rest. We would definitely stay here again! Most importantly the owners are very conscientious and the parking lot is secure with...
Read moreThe room was great for the price! I was impressed with that part.
The one that I was in had a kitchenette with a small stove, microwave, and small fridge.
The bed was comfortable. It was also quiet at night, for the most part.
For me, the other option that I was considering was a private room at a hostel for around the same price, and I’m definitely happy to have chosen this place instead!
It’s a nice private space, with a comfortable bed, and I didn’t hear people in other suites.
The bathtub was nice and deep, and if I knew the tub was clean, I would have liked to have had a bath there.
I began with the good points, but the bad point is cleanliness, as mentioned in other reviews. There was a dirty towel over the closet bar and the other towels were off-kilter so I don’t know if they were clean. There were visible hairs in the sink and the tub. I washed them down the sink, but there was nothing to use for cleaning (which they should have done).
The next morning, I mentioned it to an owner and he said that his wife would clean. I put one of my own hairs in the sink to see if she did.
It was still there, so I knew that she didn’t clean the sink.
She did mostly get rid of a mug ring on a surface, and got rid of the dirty towel.
They also brought some hangars to the room, as requested, and an ironing board and iron.
Overall, I would go back. It’s a great value (for around the price of a single room in a hostel that’s more central) for a nice, basic motel room. I hope they start cleaning the rooms, as that was the...
Read moreJust an awful and humiliating check-out day I had. After two back-to-back 7 day stays, my rental vehicle was stolen the night before checkout, so I am left with no car or wallet, after Lyfting back to my room with family help, I requested a potential noon checkout instead of their strict 11am time, 11:30am was the most I could bargain for. Well my pick-up family ride was running about 45 min behind after 11:30, so I tried calling the front desk saying I will gladly buy an extra night, but could only provide my card number through a saved gallery pic, since my wallet was gone. And the card already on file was locked due to the theft report. They said that was a no-go, so I'm frantically having to pack up and have to hold my belongings under the stairwell to make the checkout time, waiting there helplessly. Never again, good to see at least one of the helpers there speaks fluently, most likely the owners' son. Can't buy a break when you're in times of distress, it appears. I gave them more business than anyone else out there, and this is the way...
