We arrived late evening, I called to double check that was fine the man on the phone was really kind . We arrived checked in with the same guy I spoke to on the phone, he was really nice told us what to do where to go In seattle. The room (no 24). We opened the door and the smell of stale fags and grease hit you smack in the face. The room was extremely dated. We have a large room with a kitchen in fully equipment with a oven for the 60's which was stinking the room as clearly had not been cleaned ever. The bed, small hard and came with complimentary chewing gum stuck to the middle of the head board! There was accommodation below are room that had a bathroom fan which sounded like a plane taking off below us. We braved the night to be awoken at 4am by our delightful neighbours fighting and one throwing the other out of the room. 6am light is blaring through to very thin curtains and the truck depot opposite have fired up there engines and are loading the trucks! We get up and ask for a new room. The lady at the desk agrees and laughs/ apologies she gives us two keys and tells us to pick one. We head to the first room (no 10) it's better still very dated and smelly but we go into the bathroom and it's not be cleaned wet towels on the floor and in the bath, we decided to check the other room (no 34) we think okay this is better still dated and smelly but we can get a air freshener. We go to say we want number 34 they then accuse us of showering in the previous room, we explain this was not us we didn't want the room due to the wet towels etc, next thing we know and Chinese guy begins shouting and saying we have we again explain this is not us, the lady again laughs and apologises. We go out all day and return late. We shower and I go to get in the bed, something told me to pull the sheets all the way back and I'm so glad I did two large yellow stains on the covers bottom sheet and duvet the smell of urine is so strong! We storm down to the desk and demand yet again another room. We got a 3rd room (no 30) this is still not great dated and smelly. There is a absolutely no refund policy after check in! Unfortunately we had paid a lot of money to stay 4 nights and couldn't afford to go else where :(. The only 2 good things 1st free parking in a slight dodgey neighbour but all ok with our car. 2nd free good connection wifi. Which I am using...
Read moreOk must admit that I booked this room cuz it was one of the cheapest and cost was a factor for me, I did look at reviews and they weren't bad so I went with it. Upon driving there I realized it wasn't the nicest of areas but not bad, my kids were not happy when we pulled in, and not at all excited to stay here for 3 nights, very dated outside. Staff was very friendly when checking in. Room was decent, definitely needs redo, bathroom even more so, but all was working. Room had a slight smell that we couldn't pinpoint. Honestly thought about checking out and finding someplace else, closer to downtown Seattle, but we gave it a chance, bought some air freshner. It turned out to be ok, no problems in area even at night. Whenever we needed more items front staff was very accomodating, we asked for our rooms not to be cleaned until we checked out which they did. Only issue we had was 2 out of three nights the upstairs room had occupants and the creaking/stomping was very bad, we had to keep our TV on to drown out sound to sleep. TV had limited channels to offer, fridge and microwave in room. AC worked well. Overall for the money it wasn't half bad, big plus is that it is located on the street that goes directly to downtown Seattle and most of the touristy things you would want to see, so not a lot of trying to figure things out if not familiar with...
Read moreI feel like I should leave a review based upon the fact that I stayed here with my daughter. We arrived in the afternoon. Hotel room was clean and they had even cleaned the tub upon my booking request as my daughter had a procedure at seattle children’s the following morning. It’s a budget hotel so it’s not fancy but it was clean. Upon arriving after dinner however I noticed multiple women on the corners of the block, some minimally clothed. This isn’t the environment I would have chosen for my child if I had known ahead of time. The hotel has secure locks with additional deadbolts and locking windows so I felt safe. However the people above us were frequently active throughout the night and as it is an older hotel sound travels. I was also awakened to the neighboring guests tv blaring through the wall. Obviously a hotel cannot police its guests but this is more for information for future guests. Currently I’m unsure if I would stay here again. The staff were courteous and the hotel clean just the location is...
