On top of that the staff can be heard loudly asking if the customer tipped and how much they tipped after every order. Seriously? Us gringo boys can speak Spanish too ya know. They did that 3 times, not just once. This is a stand up and order takeout location with zero service given, you literally hand me what I ordered then moan about tips. You're lucky anyone tips you at all, they shouldn't. I know I won't anymore.

Read moreGOOD: The Taqueria La Fondita is clean, well maintained, and definitely conveniently located for anyone traveling south-bound on Aurora. -- If you'd like to practice Spanish, I think there is plenty of opportunity here, but I was able to place my order for three chicken "sopes", which the clerk recommended, in English. I'm not a connoisseur and have not had sopes anywhere before, but it seemed pretty fresh and good. Thank you.
BAD: There was another customer on the deck that seemed to be energetically inebriated. I don't know how common that is, but it was easy to avoid him until my take-out order was delivered.
