Yesler Terrace is undergoing a massive renovation. Many large new apartments are being built on the hill East and South of downtown Seattle. Tucked next to the community center is a small park. There are a couple of rides for younger kids, a slide and climbing apparatus. I would say the rides are for kids under 6. The park is built into the hillside and has some great views of the two stadiums and the industrial area. There are even a couple of telescopes for the kids to survey the views. My grandkids are 6&8 so the rides didn't hold their attention long. But the hills covered by artificial turf did. We brought kid sized pieces of cardboard and they slid down the short hills of AstroTurf.
They eagerly ran up the hill and slid down backwards, forward and sideways. They tried a tandem but that was less successful.
There is a danger of burns from the AstroTurf if they slide off the cardboard on the way down. They soon learned to hold onto the lip of cardboard so they didn't slip off.

Photos speak for the well maintained park. Could use some cleaning up, but these pics were taken early morning. We all know lots happen at night. (Lol!)
Nor sure why some are docking this park for having its water fountain off "because of covid". It's covid, why give a low rating. (???)
Anyways, take your family here early and enjoy the grounds. Take a soccer ball along and play on the mini field. There's a basketball court too.
Great views!!!
