I would like to let everyone know of the horrific treatment my friend receives at this hotel on Sat, April 1, 2023z I’ve pasted the situation from the Facebook posting:||Now that my babies birthday is over I can get to the bottom of my interaction with this person at the Aloft Secaucus Meadowlands.||The birthday plan was to head to Jersey spend Saturday Evening in the hotel and head to the Legoland Discovery Center to celebrate Caleb's birthday. Despite having a reservation when we arrived we were told that the hotel had overbooked and that there were no rooms available. She and her colleague tell me that it's a first come first serve basis and it doesn't matter that we have a reservation because the hotel is allowed to sell out the rooms. (Apparently the dog show was taking place on Sunday and everyone showed up for their reservation) |I'm there with two children and our bags in absolute utter shock because I've never experienced anything like this. |As I'm working to find a solution,a couple approaches the registration desk and the same person pictured below proceeds to provide them with a room key. I'm livid, but calm but I approach the desk and ask how are they being provided a room when they arrived after we did. She begins elevating her voice explaining that they have a different type of reservation. ||Soo the first come first serve basis is not applicable here I ask. I mean I just want to clarify because a few minutes ago you turned us a way because you do not have a room. Throughout this entire interaction I was calm. I wasn't yelling or behaving in a threatening manner. I only share this detail because what happened next left me completely flabbergasted. ||I was approached by hotel security calmly and he said he was asked to escort me out.|Are you absolutely kidding me‼️|I'm not leaving because I have a reservation here and until 3 min ago this is where I planned to stay tonight. |Get this ANOTHER couple walks in and guess what!!!!! Provided a room key. |I ask again what is going on and asked for this young ladies name because this is not Marriott customer service. I snapped this picture because she refused to give me her name and began shouting at the top of her lungs for me to GET OUT!!!! ||Not only was I turned away despite having a reservation. I was treated like absolute garbage by this establishment on while with my 8 and 9 year children!!! She went in the back and never came out. Im assuming she was claiming she was afraid because of what happened next. Not sure why when she was the one yelling at me 🤦🏽♀️||A friend helped me secure another reservation at another hotel and as I got safely in my car with the boys the Police showed up!!!!||I'll wait for an answer because I'm still in absolute shock that this occurred. Pull all the hotel video footage because you would assume from this story I was behaving irately yelling or posing a threat to guests. None of the above occurred. I was behaving like a shocked mom with two kids trying to understand what was transpiring and sort new accommodations in the lobby of the hotel I was supposed to being staying in.||The picture is the...

Soo the first come first serve basis is not applicable here I ask. I mean I just want to clarify because a few minutes ago you turned us a way because you do not have a room. I was approached by hotel security calmly and he said he was asked to escort me out. Are you absolutely kidding me‼️ I'm not leaving because I have a reservation here and until 3 min ago this is where I planned to stay tonight. Get this ANOTHER couple walks in and guess what!!!!! Read moreOne of the worst experiences of a hotel stay a person could have with my wife and our three children in the two rooms we had reserved for over $2200. Keep in mind while reading this review we never asked for a refund or any special treatment. Hair in the shower when we checked in, Showers and leaked and flooded the bathroom. They switched our room and deactivated our keys without our knowledge. We came back late night and try to gain access to our room our keys were deactivated and we had to wait until they had finished up with some type of police situation another guest staying there. Waited over one hour for him to let us into our room because they deactivated our entire reservation and would not allow the keys to work.
They offered an extra night stay for our inconvenience without us asking. That would have extended our reservation to the 25th. We received a phone call on the 24th at 12:30 saying our reservation time it was done and that we needed to check out. I told him that one of their employees had offered another night stay and they said that was not the case. After speaking to them for 20 minutes I offered just to pay the extra day because I am not from New York and there was nowhere else for us to get another room and they agreed. 15 minutes later they knocked on our door and told us they were not allowing us to stay in their hotel anymore and that we would have to vacate before 4 PM. They would not give us a reason why all these at our experience was not good and they do not want our business due to the issues we had incurred. I asked for their names and they would not provide any information on anyone who work there. We did not ask for any type of complementary service, nights, or special treatment. And they asked us to leave for absolutely no reason. I called the police and have made a report on the issue and it will soon be featured on channel 7 news. This is the worst hotel staff I’ve ever incurred in my life and I would highly suggest you explore other options before staying at the aloft. Rude staff Beyond anything I’ve ever seen in my life. If anyone else has had this issue or simular. you’re welcome to reach out to me as a suit will be filed. The receptionist at the desk heavyset lady with shaved sides of her head with a ponytail on top. She would not release her name but I will receive it in the police report in 3/5 business days. As well as the head of maintenance and the night receptionist/clerk that is on staff. A short Hispanic gentleman. It seems they have several issues as the police regularly visit this location. We saw the police for other situations (not ours) at least three times during our stay. Not peaceful, not safe, not hospitable. Avoid at all costs
You’ll see it featured soon on channel 7 news on your side. There will be a full ride up and segment dedicated as I’ve already spoke and given my statement to...
