After spending Sunday in the city, all of the restaurants had over an hour wait and the kids were hangry. The traffic out of the city was insane but we decided on Outback because we go there every month or two back home and they’re AMAZING with my daughter that has severe allergies. They always treat her with professionalism and kindness whereas at other restaurants, we’ll end up in the ER all night on our vacation because they don’t take it seriously. We saw they closed at 9 but being in the restaurant industry for all of my adult life, most seat you up until 10 minutes or so before (if not seating up until closing time) and finish their side work as tables make their way out. Servers rarely EVER get out at the time posted on the door, it’s just expected. It was around 8:30pm when we pulled in and another table was seated as we parked. We went in, were “greeted” by the host and told that they could seat us but it would be “pretty annoying” if we stayed because they were closing soon. I told him that we’d just get appetizers to get food in the kids bellies and be out of there as quick as humanly possible. The restaurant was still filled with people but he recommended Chilis right down the street. As I grew inpatient that we still weren’t being seated and he’s so worried about time, he asked where the other two people were that we said were with our party (they were parking the car). He said he didn’t even know where to put 6 of us (3 were kids) so he’d be right back. Instead, the manager, Brian or Brandon came out very aggressively to inform us that we needed to “hurry up because his kitchen was closing in less than 5 minutes”. At this point, I told everyone we needed to go because it was obvious that we were going to be treated even worse if we sat. Brandon/Brian told the other Mom in my party, “I’m not sure what she’s getting so nasty about” because I told everyone to leave and we’d go somewhere else. She told him how disrespectful and unprofessional he was being and he mumbled more words under his breath while walking away. Never in my life have I ever been turned away from a restaurant and to say that this experience was embarrassing and poorly handled would be an understatement. The host and the manager both were incredibly unprofessional and rude. I definitely wont be back to this Outback and doubt I’ll ever even choose my own Outback after...
Read moreWaited an hour for our food. Unacceptable! As the restaurant was not that busy for the long wait. Especially the bar area where we sat at.
There were numerous customers who came after us and got their food before we did. Not once did any of the bartenders come up to us and asked about our food nor did they check to see what was taking so long until I asked the female bartender how much longer was our food going to take. She took about 5 mins in the kitchen, came out with the cesar salad and said “they left your salad sitting out and had to make you a fresh one” knowing damn well the food was no where near being prepped “stalling”. I then waited about 25 mins and told the same female bartender if the food is not out in 5 mins to cancel the order. She said “I completely understand”. She came back out to say another “4 mins”. I told her I was not happy with the service, she said again “I completely understand”. The male bartender finally came up to us after a few mins asked us if we wanted another drink I told him no and that we were still waiting on our food. He went to the back to check on the food, about 3 mins later he comes out with our food. Mind you this is all past the “4 min” mark the female bartender gave us lol funny not funny. At this point we are frustrated at the service and lack of communication between the servers/bartenders and us “the customers”. When we told the bartender that we want to pack our food to go cause we were not satisfied with the service at all. He did apologize but of course only cause we were not satisfied with the service and getting our food an hour late. He removed the drinks which we enjoyed and should’ve paid for, instead of removing the food that seemed like it was microwaved instead of being fresh and we were not able to enjoy it. Very disappointed as we love coming to this place. But for me, it only takes one time to mess with my order.
Also, the new filet and snow crab leg is not...
Read moreWe came out to this restaurant, ( me, my dear mamma and my lovely cousin) to have a nice steak dinner that will raise our spirits after sitting in hours of unending traffic. The service was enjoyable with checks on our table around every 10-15 minutes. One thing that did take the service rating a bit down was how they took almost 15+ minutes to get us our second round of bread. Seeing how this was our waiter and his full attention should have been on us it is cruel to make us wait so long for complementary bread and butter. While we are on the subject of food me and my 43 year old mother ( who happens to suffer with rfbf) we waited the normal amount of time for our steak and shrimp, but during our wait a nice looking man comes out and tells us the greenbeans have went bad!! This was untold of and I could have never imagined being told there was no greenbeans. This brought my mood down a bit but my attitude uplifted when the steak dinner was pulled out. The steak was rippy and hard with many pieces of fat on it but was cooked correctly and had a nice amount of juice it in. The shrimp is a whole different story, it was just beyond gross but it might have just been mine since other people around me were thoroughly enjoying theirs. Other then that the sweet potato was oddly very satisfying with a very nice taste and texture. Overall, it had nice service and a nice place to go but needs to improve on its...
