I'm a nice guy who writes nice reviews about nice experiences when I get a chance or people go above and beyond. That being said, my time at Bdubs in Secaucus was a mess that could have been easily avoided if they had a hint of professionalism. Both our server and store manager lacked this and should be held accountable, if Bduds cares. They have lost at least one customer this day.
I'll try and make this quick.
I ordered a burger hold the onions. Simple, right? Well hold on there, mayhaps not as simple as it may seem.
Everyone got there wings and I was told it would be a minute, burgers take a little longer. Ok. So after about 10 minutes I finally got my servers attention for a refill of my Pepsi and an update. I was again told that burgers take longer, with a slight hint of annoyance toward me. Another 10 minutes, everyone started wrapping up their meal, I was annoyed. Not angry, just annoyed. When I flagged down and called for my server bc he did his best to ignore me, I simply asked him to bring my food to-go whenever it finally did get done, bc everyone at our table was finishing.
About 5 min later he shows up with a bag ready to go. Deciding to at least take a bite or 2, I opened up my burger, and of course it had onions. Had to once again try and get his attention bc he wasn't checking in on us at all, and I asked him to bring us the bill and take my burger off and take this back and maybe also give my brother his beer off of our ticket bc this was ridiculous. He said he couldn't do that but he'd get his manager.
ANOTHER 10 min passes and the manager finally shows up. I give him a run down and ithat I'd like a free beer. All he says is, 'oh that's against policy, we can't give away alcohol.'
Are you kidding me? That's all you have to say? Not, 'I'm sorry, let me take care of this". Guess what sir- I do not care what your policy is, I do not care that burgers take longer, and I don't even care that i didn't get to eat (had lost my appetite by then anyway)
Between both families that were there (me, my wife and adult son, and my brother and his 3 adult sons) we spent over $200 on wings and drinks, and you couldn't give me $8 off my bill for having to sit there all night and not get fed?
I'm sorry sir, but your $4.00 10% discount that you offered (our bill was just a hair under our $40 split bill after he took the burger that I never got off) was an embarrassment to you and your establishment. I will not be back and you all need customer service training.
Easily avoidable. Don't suck. Just CARE about your customers. Especially in an area where there are so many choices.

   Read moreMy friend and I came here not knowing what to expect; it had been years since either of us had been to a BWW. The experience was overall okay, but definitely had some room for improvement. Starting with the good, love that they have free soda refills. I was able to eat my food without worrying about going through my drink and running my tab on soda. I got a few of the boneless flavors including the orange chicken, garlic parm, and their new BBQ ranch. The orange chicken was my favorite of the three flavors, the chicken was more moist than the other options. The BBQ ranch was decent, but the garlic parm was a bit dry for some reason and kind of missed the mark. I re ordered the orange chicken because I preferred that one, but the garlic parm could have used a bit more garlic and cheesy flavor. We had the unlimited option which is a decent deal, and the wings come with a side. I will say I enjoyed their fries a lot; actually more so than the chicken. I had three rounds of these and would recommend loading up on this side if you come here. The potato wedges are pretty good as well and taste kind of like a different version of fries. It is interesting how I enjoyed the sides a bit more than the chicken, but the food was overall okay. I have to give them credit for having my favorite drink on tap (Angry Orchard) which I do not see often. The service was lacking a bit at the beginning. We actually moved to the bar because we were getting no service at any table we went to. We just wanted to get some orders in and did not come at a popular hour, the place was near empty when we arrived. As the night went on and some games started, it got a bit more popular and I could understand the slower service. We were hoping to be served a bit quicker at the table in the beginning but the bar was no big deal. While I am giving this spot 3 stars because the experience was alright, there are a lot of other good options in the area so returning is a tough call. If I did come back, it would be for the drinks because I do not know too many spots that have what I like on tap. For the drink lovers, BWW still got it but the food was okay. Before any food came out, we noticed the cutlery was extremely water stained with bits of food leftover. Anyone that has worked in restaurants knows that just passing the cutlery through the dishwasher isnt enough, it must be polished. There was a huge crack in one of the glasses, it shouldn't have left the bar area. There was a small hair in one of our orders which was the least of our concerns.
Aside from that the waitress was horrible at worst or very new to serving at best. She came up to us to take our food order, wings and 4 burgers. Told her that we were still deciding on our drinks. From there it was down hill. We received 3 burgers before we were able to put in drinks which was done by the bartender. The bartender notified the server which was standing right behind us. After being almost done with the burgers we received, our server dropped our drinks off.
Not once did she ask was the food ok, anything missing, or reassuring us that our food was coming. Just dropped the drinks and left. She made it extremely obvious she was avoiding our table, she checked up on her other tables and back to the POS. If she wanted to go to the bar, instead of crossing infront of us, where we could then ask whats taking so long, she went around through the kitchen. We had to ask bussers, and other servers whats going on. We eventually received our wings but the last burger was not out yet, everyone else was done. We had to call for a manager a few times before we got someone, where the missing burger was taken out almost instantly. We mentioned the dirty cutlery and the broken glass. By then we were all done and ready to leave.
All this could have been avoided if the server didnt actively avoid us. Maybe we werent in her section? Maybe she thought we were a bad tipping table from the start because we were hispanic? Did she think we didnt notice? Even after some of the staff that helped us spoke to our server, she never came to us and did her job.
Regardless, we were extremely patient from the start and calling the manager was a last resort. A frustrating experience from start to finish.
