Haute Dulce – A Refined Café Experience Worth Savoring

Haute Dulce is truly a hidden gem for anyone who appreciates desserts as a form of art. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a chic, modern ambiance and the warm, sweet aroma of freshly baked creations. The attention to detail — in both flavor and presentation — is genuinely unmatched.

The staff is friendly, attentive, and well-versed in the ingredients and inspiration behind each dish. You can tell they take real pride in what they serve.

Here’s what we tried: • Pancake (Banana & Walnuts): Fluffy, buttery stacks topped with caramelized bananas and crunchy walnuts. The cinnamon-infused maple syrup elevated this beyond your typical pancake. • Avocado Toast: Thick-cut sourdough piled with creamy avocado, radish slices, and chili flakes. Although the poached egg was missing (likely a kitchen oversight), the toast was still fresh and satisfying. • Omelette (Mushrooms): Light and silky eggs folded around sautéed wild mushrooms and herbs. Simple and well-prepared — though a touch of cheese or truffle oil would have added extra richness. • Knafeh: The surprise standout! A beautiful balance of crispy shredded phyllo, gooey sweet cheese, and fragrant rosewater syrup. Crunchy, decadent, and utterly memorable. • French Toast: Brioche soaked in vanilla custard, topped with fresh berries and powdered sugar. Rich and indulgent, though the syrup pooling at the bottom made it a little soggy over time.

Drinks: • Pistachio Latte: Creamy, nutty, and perfectly balanced. Topped with crushed pistachios — a must-try. • Rose Matcha: Visually stunning. Delicate but the rose slightly overpowered the matcha. Good for a one-time experience. • Strawberry Refresher: Light, fizzy, and fruity. A great palate cleanser to balance the richness of the food. • Mango Mojito (Mocktail): Fresh mango purée with mint and lime. Refreshing but could’ve used a bit more...

Haute Dulce Brunch Review

Pancake (Banana & Walnuts) – Fluffy, buttery stacks with caramelized bananas and crunchy walnuts. The maple syrup was infused with a hint of cinnamon—elevated beyond basic pancakes. Avocado Toast – Thick sourdough piled high with creamy avocado, radish slices, and chili flakes. Missing the promised poached egg (kitchen oversight), but still fresh and satisfying. Omelette (Mushrooms) – Silky eggs stuffed with sautéed wild mushrooms and herbs. Simple but well-executed—could’ve used cheese or truffle oil for extra luxury. Knafeh – A surprise star! Crispy shredded phyllo, gooey sweet cheese, and rosewater syrup. Perfect balance of crunchy and decadent. French Toast – Brioche soaked in vanilla custard, topped with berries and powdered sugar. Rich and indulgent, though the syrup pooled at the bottom made it soggy over time.

Drinks: Pistachio Latte – Nutty, fragrant, and not overly sweet. Topped with crushed pistachios—would order again! Rose Matcha – Floral and earthy, but the rose overpowered the matcha. Pretty to look at, though. Strawberry Refresher – Light, fizzy, and fruity. Ideal for cutting through the richness of the dishes. Mango Mojito (Mocktail) – Fresh mango purée with mint and lime. Refreshing, but needed more tang.

Must-try: The knafeh and pistachio latte were unforgettable. Aesthetic: Every dish was photogenic—true to Haute Dulce’s reputation. Portions: Generous

Haute Dulce delivers a luxurious, visually stunning brunch with a few standout dishes (knafeh, pistachio latte). Perfect for special occasions or ‘treat...

I visited this cafĂŠ yesterday and had a Strawberry Matcha that was so good I decided to come back today and grab another one before work. Since I was on a time crunch, I placed a pick-up order on Uber Eats before leaving my house (about 20 minutes away) so it would be ready when I arrived.

When I got there, my drink wasn’t on the counter, so I went to the register and let the young man know I had an order for a Strawberry Matcha pick-up. He said he’d check, so I waited by the counter. Meanwhile, I saw the barista making drinks for people who had just walked in, so I assumed mine was still coming. After about 10 minutes of waiting, the Barista asked if I was ready to order, that i had to go to the other counter, and I explained again that I had already placed a pick-up order through Uber Eats over 30 minutes ago. He told me it had only been five minutes, and when I clarified it was on Uber Eats, he finally went to check.

I ended up waiting another 10 minutes while drinks for walk-in customers continued to be made ahead of mine. Eventually, a sweet young girl made my drink (she was very kind), but by that point, I had waited close to 45 mins total for one drink.

I understand this is a new café—it’s beautiful, and my experience yesterday was great—but if online orders through Uber Eats can’t be handled alongside in-store orders, it might be better to pause or turn off online ordering during busy times. It honestly would have been faster to just walk in and...

Haute Dulce is a new place that has to be the absolutely most Instagram worthy spot around. Beautiful decor, marble and soft pink and gold accents. Seating is offered both inside or out. Music at an enjoyable level. The staff, impeccably trained, very polite, always smiling. "Have you been here before?" they ask. If you have, they welcome you back like a long lost relative and if it's your first time, they offer menu suggestions to suit your cravings. My date had the French toast. Each bite drizzled in chocolate and it was so good there was no need for the accompanying syrup. I had the veggie omelet. It was perfectly made, seasoned just right. It came with a light salad, sourdough toast and a lovely avocado rose. The dressing was a light basalmic and it was great drizzled on the salad from the tiny pitcher it came in. Afterwards, we had to treat ourselves from the selection of desserts. A freshly made almond cream pastry with sugared almonds was my pick. Flaky crust, delicious filling. It comes both plain and covered in chocolate. Date had a mango mousse that served so much flavor, I thought I was biting into a mango. Our drinks were a latte, so delicious that no sweetener was needed and a tea so fragrant that it made my mouth water. Go to Haute Dulce, the service, the food, the atmosphere, it is a wonderful addition to Secaucus.

Really cute small cafe! The service and atmosphere is amazing. Only reason lost a star is because the matcha was honestly not my fav, they charge around 7 dollars for it. Which is a pretty average price for matcha for cafes of this type *however* the matcha was not a truly high quality matcha (like ceremonial grade kind of thing) which is completely fine! Most cafes focus on coffees anyways however it’s just the price is the same as other cafes I’ve been to that have amazing high quality matcha. I got the strawberry matcha and it was very beautiful and I liked how they used fresh strawberry purée instead of syrup or strawberry milk tasted nice but it’s was just a little too sweet and not smooth mainly bc of the quality of the matcha. I’m not a coffee drinker so I mainly get matcha so I usually have to base my opinions of cafes based on their matcha, but I’m sure this places coffee is great 👍 . The size was great tho, not tiny! I got their Dubai chocolate and it was great! I will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu so I can make a more consistent rating of their food, but for now 4/5 is my opinion.
