We have stayed here numerous times but this trip has started out badly. Checked in, with only one other person checking in took 45 minutes. We have two condos and in August we were assured we would be in same building so family was together, didn't happen. Then we got to condo, or what we thought was condo by their paperwork, kept sliding key until occupants came to door wanting to know what were were doing, very embarrassing as room was occupied. We tried calling check in desk, they wouldn't answer phone, finally they had us on hold, would go back to operator, etc.. Eventually all 6 of us had to go back to check in desk with our 3 year old grandson who was tired & needed a restroom. Desk said they were busy, that's why no phone answering and told us how busy they had been. Really not an excuse for a professional property like Keystone. They checked room #, realized they had written wrong # on folder, go figure! They did have people help unload our van but the whole process was poor. We have never experienced this before here and I am hoping the next 4 days go better. Second day update. Management contacted us, very apologetic for the situation. They made some adjustments to our account to help off set any inconveniences. Based on our previous stays we believe it just was a bad day for all. Read moreWow. There are no humans here to solve problems. They shut the gondola down due to a labor shortage. Next I went to the hot tub and buffalo lodge $500 per night and there are no towels left. So I walked back to my room dripping.
Also they issued my two kids bracelets that do nothing! We had to wait in line for an hour to exchange them for cards to use the lifts and gondola. Why is this? Just poor Operations.
Elevator to the parking level at buffalo lodge is broken with a note suggesting imminent repair. I pushed 200 lb of luggage up the ramp thru the snow to the one working elevator. Which is constantly crowded.
Finally 12/30 power outage 6 pm till ??? I called the keystone operator and no one picked up. Of course!
The terrain is still lovely and the recent snow has been spectacular. But the resort? Awful. Like a private equity firm runs it collects money from everyone sells as many tickets as possible and has no staffing to run the resort.

Read moreWe got a condo at River mill. The location is great, the condo is unfortunately dangerous. The only bed they have is a Murphy bed. It clearly has good use of the bed already. The Murphy bed has a very loose metal frame as foot board. When we lower the bed for might, the metal frame came loose and hurt my toe, it’s completely black. Unfortunately I can’t ski because of the injury. The maintainence guy came to check the bed and said it’s in regular condition and we are not the first family got hurt by the Murphy bed.
