AVOID IF YOU WANT TO AVOID MOLDED ROOM. We stayed in room 1560 at Lakeshore/ Lakeside villa in Keystone. Room had molded ceiling in living room and bedroom along with visible water damage on ceiling. This was in addition to discovering our room was dirty with tissue paper and a dirty towel on the couch upon check-in. We initially were going to dismiss the uncleaned items on the couch until we became severely sick from the mold we later discovered both in the room and living room. We were unaware why we had issues breathing, couldn't sleep, constant dry cough, runny nose, and itchy eyes until we discovered the spots on the ceilings. There was also dried water damage on the ceiling showing water damage must have occurred in the room at some point. Some of which looked like they tried painting over but was still visible. After contacting the front desk they were initially unresponsive and then tried stating their housekeeping couldn't find it. I was then told I could escalate it to management who I then called twice and left a vm for and still have not heard back from. We now have to work on repairing our health and detoxing from this mold with no resolution from the property owner. I have filed complaints with both the summit/keystone public and environmental health departments and looking to take further action. This was after a week at keystone lodge and spa (which was great with no problem) and then extending our mountain stay at the lakeshore/lakeside villa for 3 days. Mold is a serious health concern with lasting repercussions and should be treated as such. Not to mention mold in one room means it can easily travel to other units through the AC/heater that is constantly running. The lack of concern, response, and consideration for a paying customer is alarming and not okay. I would definitely recommend YOU...
Read moreThe views were gorgeous and the location was great! The only things keeping me there. Check in was at 4:00. We called and called and called…no answer. Drove to the office at 6:00 and was told another 10 minutes of cleaning. My husband and I sat outside our room while they cleaned it with our 3 hangry toddlers with all our luggage and groceries that had been out for 2.5 hours. Finally around 6:40 we got into our room!! Due to the wait we were offered a bottle of cheap wine. Then we found that the television didn’t work…again let the front desk know about this new situation and was told they’d make note of it and gave us another cheap bottle of wine… rooms were extremely outdated but like I stated at the top the view did make this tolerable. Don’t expect to get the beautiful room in the picture 😂 Finally , we asked for a set of sheets for the pull out bed. We had left the room to run some errands and expected them to put it outside our door. When we came back we found the sheet set on the bed but my wedding ring that I had stupidly left on the coffee table was gone. My hands were so dry I kept applying lotion and took my ring off. At first I thought maybe I just misplaced it, however after completing flipping the room upside down it was never found. I don’t want to think the person who dropped off the sheet took it but very strange that it went missing that hour. Overall I wouldn’t return to these condos. The hotel lodge and spa was much better in my opinion but we did enjoy having a kitchen… a VERY outdated kitchen haha. Stay at your own risk.
Oh also, don’t be alarmed to see random people sleeping in the ski locker area. Such a strange place!...
Read moreLakeside Village was conveniently located near a couple of restaurants and Mountain Base. Nowhere Pizza is the best! We ate there twice during our stay. I recommend figuring out the bus routes prior to arriving. Also, parking at River Run is free while Mountain base is not. Found out the hard way when we got a $25 ticket. Rooms were clean and had a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. I did not realize when I booked that our room had Murphy Bed's, but it was not a big deal. It was nice to access to the pool, hot tub and sauna at Keystone Resort and Spa, which was only a couple of hundred feet away. ||||I thought it was the perfect place for new skiers and families. My 9 year, after 1 day of ski school, was able to ski from the peak on Schoolmarm, which is 3.5 miles long. She had no issues. Very family-friendly. Tubing is a must-do. At most, there was a 2-3 minute wait to get on the lifts. ||||We rented equipment from Mountain View Sports in Keystone. They were a bit cheaper than renting from the resort. They were very friendly and accomodating. ||||I would recommend eating at Nowhere Pizza and Dillon Dam Brewery. They both had great food and...
