Decided to leave a 5 star review to counteract the negative ones from Ross Creations.
Although it really doesn’t matter because the restaurant clearly is above average because their rating is a 4.6 with over a thousand reviews.
I mostly wanted to give feedback to the restaurant management regarding the situation.
I watched the video multiple times and I totally understand the management not wanting the boxing match in the restaurant. But after the manager stopped it and the waitress bowed out (understandably), the restaurant treated Ross Creations with a hostile vibe.
That’s where you went wrong in my opinion. The manager successfully prevented the “boxing match”. RC stayed in character to close the video and end it with usable footage (that really didn’t make you look that bad) but then the manager and staff became standoffish with Ross and essentially kicked him out. That’s where I believe you went wrong. You should have let the man pay his bill, make his peace and leave on good terms.
But instead the video ends with RC asking for the managers name and being told by a woman off camera to “GET OUT!”. That was totally unnecessary. I don’t appreciate seeing a legend like RC being spoke to like an ignorant child. It was a prank. Get over it. The boxing match stopped when you intervened so no harm done.
It seems like the manager was annoyed that RC refused to break character when he stopped the match. Big deal. You accomplished your goal of stopping the match now let the man do his closing and pay his bill and leave without hostility.
But NOPE, staff had to go full power-trip mode and get their jollies off by kicking someone out for a completely innocent prank.
I recommend your staff and management watch the Ross Creations video and take notes from the other two restaurants that he visited.
It’s 2022 and social media is everything. Maybe try to calculate your moves a little better the next time someone shows up in your restaurant with a camera. You never know how many followers they have.
Also for context, I own a business and have been in management for years. If I was present at the restaurant when this occurred I would have been delighted to see it. Dinner and a free show!!. Sounds good to me because I’m not a prude. Life’s too short for that.
Just remember, for every customer that wouldn’t have appreciated the prank, there’s just as many people who would have. People with money who like BBQ. Not just that but remember you’re not some fancy pants place like Damicos Steakhouse. You’re a Mission BBQ franchise, Pretty sure people don’t go there expecting black tie and a...
Read moreLooking for a place to stop for a late lunch today after hitting the driving range with my wife. After checking the rating of Mission BBQ we decided to give them a try.
We were welcomed in the door with a friendly smile and a wave to come up to the counter. We explained this was our first time here and Ray took extreme amount of time to explain all the options to us. It's a great feeling and you feel important that people take the time like this.
RAY even mentioned that we can sample anything we like. After trying a few samples filled by Kalen everything was so delish but we were very interested in trying the smoked turkey.
So if you've never been there like us the options are choose the type of meat that you like from the Meat Market.
Like pulled pork, brisket, turkey, chicken, ribs etc then you order your side(s), you can get just one side and a drink or the XXL 2 sides/drink.
Many unique options on the sides brown beans, collard greens, cream corn, coleslaw, mac & Cheese, fries and a couple desert items. Everything done in house and beautifully fresh and delish.
We know they're all delicious because as a newcomer you get to try all the sides as a sampler for free and you get a coupon for a free sandwich next time.. how awesome is that. Or Choose a sandwich with similar types of meats then pair sides.
All the meat is smoked for 16 hours and they're in-house smoker nothing is Frozen everything is fresh.
Being a reviewer I always look at customer service it means just as much as the quality and taste of the food.
Both Ray and Kalen were amazingly friendly and really took the time to make us feel at home. You can tell these guys really love their job and have great customer service, whatever you're paying them isn't enough!!
They honor Heroes here; military, fire police Etc so we were happy to buy the refillable cup that helps support these heroes that give up so much for us.
5 star plus, plus

Read moreChecked out Mission BBQ with my dad after some shopping in the area & my sister saying it was her favorite place, they both live locally & I am visiting from Boston. As soon as we walked in, Marcus, greeted us with the most positive, upbeat attitude. You could just tell he really loves his position. He very clearly broke down the whole menu for us, as it was our first time in, and said we could sample anything we wanted before ordering, (what place lets you sample the food first!) He went on to further explain everything is made in house & they check the food multiple times a day for quality. We ended up ordering one of the combo meat plates with the brisket & pulled pork, a side of fries, and baked beans. To say the food was out of this world would truly be an understatement. Everything was so fresh. They had 6 sauce options on the table, but honestly the pulled pork was seasoned perfectly that it didn’t even need sauce! Marcus told us that as part of their experience they like to bring over some extra sides for people who haven’t been in before so they can try them, but he seriously went above & beyond. He brought us one of every side & the desserts, as well as a little bit of the pulled chicken, turkey, & assorted sausages!! I honestly had to stop myself from eating because I just couldn’t put my fork down! Before I was even over at the counter to ask for a few to-go containers, Marcus already had everything prepared for me as I approached, and jokingly said he was expecting me.
Overall, Mission BBQ gets 10/10!! Marcus & the whole team really did an amazing job making our first experience memorable, and I can’t wait to go back when I visit...
