LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Florida

My family and I had dinner on 2/23/25 and the service was horrible. Our server Maia J and the female manager on duty (MOD) was just as horrible. We had one steak that was undercooked and the other that was overcooked. When it was brought to Maia attention, she was disrespectful and condescending. Saying the end of the steak will always be over cooked and you need to cut in the middle for the right temperature. She also said that the steak looked rare to her. The other steak should have been medium, and it was rare. She took the same tone again. At which point I told her that I'm a Chef, and both are cooked incorrectly. She still wanted to disagree with me. She finally took them off the table for remakes. At this point the MOD came to the table with the same tone as the server. I again told her both steaks were cooked incorrectly. She also wanted to try and justify the cooking. At which point I told her I'm a Chef and I know what properly cooked steaks looked like. She still wanted to disagree with me. Also, let the MOD know that we asked for refills over 15 mins and was still waiting. The section wasn't that busy that Maia couldn't keep up. She brought out small boxes for the food saying that they didn't have any other sizes. The T-Bone wouldn't fit in the box. The table next to us received larger boxes after us. I asked for bigger boxes and the checks so we could leave. At which point Maia rolled her eyes and walked off. The MOD came over and asked if the table wanted a shared dessert and gave a poor apology for the service. We refused the offer. I informed her that a talk needs to be had about Maia customer service and the rolling of the eyes and disrespectful attitude. I seldom review but after wasting an hour or so at Bradenton LongHorn now eating at Outback I'll type this.

I was a party of one and got an okay boot by the restroom entrance. NBD I was just going to read my book, eat, and leave.

I was immediately greeted by a server who promptly brought me my soda and took my order. She shortly after brought my salad. That was pretty much the last time I saw her.

Somebody else served me the steak that was a sad piece of the sirloin (if that was the cut!?) The steak knife would not cut through the grimy part so I went for the fat nice part. That was over cooked. It was ordered medium-rare and delivered medium.

I could not flag a server down, in 7-8 minutes maybe, so I ended up walking through the restaurant to tell a greeter. When I came back to the table I guess they noticed I had gone missing so I was able to show them the steak and request a new one.

Maybe 20 minutes went by and I was sucking on some ice cubes as my one and only soda was long gone. My steak was dropped off in a second and I did not get a chance to ask for cutlery and a soda refill. After maybe 5 minutes watching my fresh (better cut!) steak get cold I again went to the front door people.

After my second walk through the restaurant for help I was brought cutlery and a fresh soda. I cut in to the steak, 'hangrily' maybe, only to find yet another medium center. Not even close to anything rare.

I left. I feel bad I did. I did tell the staff I'm leaving. Never have I had such bad service, been served a bad piece of sirloin, and two over cooked steaks in...

Went out to dinner with my boyfriend tonight. Was sat down and told our server would be right with us, 20 minutes go by and someone said “I’ll be right with you”. Server finally greets us and we order drinks and apps, 25 minutes go by and still no drinks. By the time we got them she asked are we ready to order, I needed another minute to decide. If I would have known it would have taken another 30 minutes for her to come back and take our order I would have busted ordered….. When she came back to take our entree order, I felt rushed as if I was wasting their time…. Like really?? 15 minutes to get a drink refill, server was barely checking on us. Someone else brought our food out. We kept seeing our server constantly pass by as we had dirty plates we stacked at the end of the table with cups. They kept waking by them and didn’t removed them until time for the bill….. I wanted to pay with cash and was waiting to get my change, and over heard them talking in the back complaining “their not going to leave a tip, it’s to be expected because of the way their dressed” When i finally got my change it wasn’t even the right amount…. I was just given whatever they felt like giving me …. poor poor service and will not be returning at all….. I feel as though I was prejudged before we sat down and felt very unwelcome…. And trying to have a nice date night with your significant other be ruined, Because they already insinuated I wouldn’t tip anyways. so why bother even trying to provide...
