Disgusting hotel and blasé staff. I was texted the day prior, Sunday, around 3pm to ask if there were any accommodations I would like prepared before arrival...I texted back three times leading up to my check in around 830pm for extra towels, inquiring about the hours, and if there was a menu list or link. There was no response whatsoever until 830am the next morning while trying to sleep, asking if there was anything I needed. The front desk had a handful of sticky notes with patron complaints of things in the rooms being broken. When you walk into your room with all your heavy bags, you might stand there for quite a bit wondering why the room is still dark. The immediate switch turns on one recessed light directly at the entrance and the bathroom light which was also by the entrance. Then you have to fumble the length of your room because thats where the other switch is. Floors werent clean, no bags in the trashcan or ice bucket which both had a residue in them, the shower is half open with no door so you are quite exposed and water gets onto the floor. The sliding door that reveals the closet is broken, only attached by the rollers on the top and not the track on the bottom so I had to use the complimentary Kcups to wedge it open. The trim around the sliding door is just not attached at all. The other side of the sliding door held the mini fridge, coffee station, and three little drawers which also happen to be the only drawers in the room. I was able to fit a few pairs of undies and socks in the first drawer, two tshirts in the second drawer, and the third drawer had candy wrappers in it so I decided I would be living out of my suitcase for the duration of my stay. The bed was facing the large window with a view of the dumpsters and a children's daycare, which was disturbing. Instead of a mint, you may receive a single long hair on your pillow as I did. Im not sure why the tag on the blanket was rock solid, but I had to choose between getting poked in the face or in the feet. The tv was mounted to the wall on the right side of the bed, so laying on your back or left side meant no television. Anything connected to the wifi gets cyclically kicked off every fifteen minutes, so no phone or gaming devices. Most of the buttons worked on my remote thankfully, although my neighbors remote did not work at all. Theres no leaflet with phone numbers, hours for amenities, or a menu for the "room service" which means you have to walk from your room to the restaurant just to view the menu. Its $2.75 per load if youre interested in the laundry, the pool was nicer than expected, the woman managing the bar in the evening was excellent, the assistant manager shrugged her shoulders when I asked about the wifi. Its a two minute walk to the shopping plaza...
Read moreFirst time staying at a Cambria & LOVED it! This new ish hotel is everything you need if you love a clean, modern & hip hotel! Stayed for one night while working in the area. Honestly, great stay! ||Things to note:|- Hotel is right off major highways which was a plus for travel|- located in a strip mall with many food choices/stores for a traveler|- large & well lit parking lot out front||Hotel grounds:|- beautiful lobby|- all the hallways were clean & had a modern style that was neat|- staff was friendly at front desk||Room:|- the room itself was decent sized. The way they laid the room out gives you maximized space which is great!|- funky wallpaper & art added to the modern vibe|- super clean room! Was spotless & super sanitary!|- large bathroom! Beautiful walk in shower with a big flowing show head. It was so nice. So many hotels skimp on bathroom size but not at Cambria!|- smart little things like USB power slots (and many of them!) for ease of charging electronics. |- coat rack / extra storage shelves etc in the room is helpful|- the desk area was well thought out with extra storage nooks/areas. |- lounge couch by window with a light facing the TV|- they have a nice fridge/microwave in the desk area nook with a nice counter space for your food.|- LOVE the hardwood floors (can we end carpeted hotel rooms? So gross)|- the room was super quiet & I didn’t hear any of the other guests/near by roads|- AC worked great & kept the room cool all night.||Only thing to note:|- they offer a mobile app but no mobile room keys. Wish they could offer that. You can “check in” on the app but still need an actual room key card from the front desk. For such a modern hotel, you’d expect digital room keys on the app. But no big deal to get stuck on.||LOVED my stay here. It was easy right off the highway, clean hotel with a modern vibe. The room itself was also clean, spacious & had so many things that helps a traveler out like the storage nooks, USB slots & beautiful bathroom was a bonus! Will try another Cambria for future...
Read moreAfter a long week of staying at Cambria, I can honestly say that this is one of the nicest hotels and glad to have stayed here! The hotel itself looks to be brand new and is very clean. The staff maintains and cleans often and it shows. I didn’t use the pool so, cannot comment on it. It is inside however, and I believe it is also heated. It looked nice.
I stayed in a spacious, king bed room and it exceeded all of my expectations. The room was very comfortable and came equipped with a small fridge and a microwave (if I recall correctly). The shower had like a rain shower head which felt amazing and came with plenty of shampoo, conditioner, and soap.
By the window was a chaise lounge type of couch to sit on if you desire. The bedding was the best part about the entire stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were the best. Honestly, I have always taken something to help me sleep however, during my entire stay here I didn’t have to. I was that comfortable.
The Wi-Fi was simple to connect to and had good speeds.
On the first floor is a small laundry room with a clothes washer and a dryer which I had to use once during my stay.
When you exit Cambria you can take a short walk and get to anything you may need during your stay. I walked to Shake Shack and Whole Foods however, it unfortunately was not opened yet.
The staff is amazing! They were always willing to go above and beyond to make my situation better and definitely appreciated. Housekeeping does not clean the rooms everyday, if occupied, so you will have to ask for that if you should need them to come by.
The restaurant was pretty good. I ate here a couple of times during my stay. They are only open during certain hours in the morning and evening and have quite a few simple things on menu. Across from the lobby is also a little store with several different drinks and snacks which can be purchased. You can add all of this to your hotel tab which was convenient.
Overall, just a perfect hotel and sincerely...
