They just are not what they used to be… my boyfriend and I loved coming here the food was really good the first few times coming here, we stopped because they started bagging everything different they don’t put the burgers or fries in boxes anymore so our food would be cold by the time we got home… so we stopped coming here for food for while (we like their milkshakes) and last night I was like ya know what why not try and get food again. MISTAKE on my part! I mean I get that we all have bad days and things happened but we were lied to… we pull up to the drive thru (our order was supposed to be done at 8:10pm) and waited a little till they got to the window and asked for the name they tried handing us drinks which there was 3 milkshakes that we did not get… we didn’t take them as they were not ours we only had 2 cheese burgers and 2 fries the guy just stares at my boyfriend and walked away. A few minutes later the guy comes back and tells us that they are putting our food together and asked if we could drive around the building… ok we do so and instead of greeting the person that was behind us they walked away and they didn’t get greeted till we pulled in behind them (Why didn’t they greet them when they were right there I don’t know? That’s rude to them cause they were literally right there!) they had 3 different people talk to them! And they finally got there order. We pull up at the window gave our name again and then the employee leaves comes back asked what did we get and we told him EVEN showed him on the phone, leaves and comes back and says we are making your order now your order wasn’t on the system. (But why did the other employee say that it was getting bagged?) We were there for a total of 25 minutes! Also the food wasn’t even what we ordered!!! They gave us 2 avocado with bacon cheese burgers… not what we ordered at all! So we just left cause this was ridiculous 25 minutes for cold food that wasn’t even ours… thanks… only coming here for shakes! That’s like the only thing that they seem to get right, well… somewhat they might try to give it to the wrong person
UPDATE: (The next day after I left this review) I emailed them the info they needed and they answered within the same day! Said usually within 48hours. Thank you to their hospitality team for their customer service! I understand less waste for the individual packaging of to go orders. Thank you for your understanding of the frustrating situation hopefully they’ll do something...
Read moreThis was not our first time at a shake shack but the first time at this location. We arrived at the location around 8:30pm It was easy to order food at the kiosk. We ordered 1 double burger, a chicken sandwich and a mini milkshake for a total of $32. It took the late night staff over 20 minutes to make this meal. After waiting so long, the food was underwhelming and the milkshake was just milk and no shake.
Our friend ordered a burger (which arrived about 10 min after ordering) and loved it so much he got up and ordered a second one from the kiosk before we even got our food. when it arrived another 20 min later it was so salty it was inedible. He asked for the staff to remake the burger. He came back and we waited another 20 min for them to remake it, little did we know they were not remaking this burger. After being done waiting we just wanted to leave, our friend asked if they ever remade the burger the staff laughed, then said they didn’t know they had to remake this burger and offered a refund. He took the refund. By the time we left it was 9:36pm with a total wait time of around 40-45 min of just waiting for food to come out.
For the time we wasted for mediocre food and passive aggressive staff who does not care about the customers or values their time, we will not be returning to this shake shack. Save your money and your time and visit another location. If you have time to waste and are okay with inconsistent quality this is the...
Read moreUpon our arrival at what one might generously call a dining establishment, we were greeted not by the warm smile of a welcoming host but by a gaping void where human service ought to have been. Left to fend for ourselves, we were forced into a dispiriting tête-à-tête with a digital tablet, that most impersonal of waiters. My attempt to order a canned Sauvignon Blanc—a modest wish to enhance the meal—was met with a bureaucratic prompt on the screen instructing me to wait for a verification of age that never came. After a time, disillusioned, I canceled the $10 drink from my order in a minor but resentful act of consumer rebellion.
Our quest for a clean table within this gastronomic wasteland further exposed the decline of standards. Each available surface was an affront to the notion of cleanliness, adorned liberally with crumbs and smeared with unknown substances. With no staff in sight to remedy this, I was reduced to the role of janitor, fetching water and paper towels to scrub a spot where we might dine without sticking to the table.
As the clock ticked mercilessly on, the wait for our food stretched interminably, offering me ample opportunity to reflect on the dismal state of affairs and compose this lament. One could only conclude that such a place, with its forsaken service and disregard for the basic courtesies of hospitality, serves as a stark reminder of the degradation of the dining experience to mere transaction, devoid of any...
