The Shops at Evergreen Walk — Local services in South Windsor

The only two stores that I shop here are The New Balance Store and L.L. Bean. So far, all I have purchased was footwear at both stores. The New Balance Store for my sneakers. They have a machine that basically measures how you walk, then they recommend the type of sneakers that you need along with the appropriate insert for the sneakers. The quality is first rate, and the sneakers last for years. Mine cost $215.00, but worth every penny. The type that I need are made in America. 🇺🇸 At L.L.Bean I purchased their L.L. Bean Boot. Made right up in Maine. 🇺🇸 I wanted a winter boot that I could wear while I was driving. This boot fit the bill. The boot is waterproof and insulated. But narrow enough so that you don't step on the brake and gas pedal at the same time because the boot is too wide. They had to order my pair of boots, but I received them in only two days. My boots cost me $222.00, but worth every penny as I am diabetic and my feet usually freeze in the winter. I don't think I will have that problem anymore. The store is packed with an abundance of beautiful clothing for everyone in the family. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely recommend both these stores...

Well I want to be nice here but I don't like this place. It's very Connecticut... in that it tries way too hard. They play music throughout the entire area and it's way too loud even for outdoors. They used to have a cool fire pit but now it's this weird awkward off to the side thing with what looks like a putting green which would be cool except it's not a putting green and there are no chairs to go right along with your not a putting green. The problem is places like this are built with people who have no sense of self-identity. They just build it to see if they can make some money. It's been a ghost town for years and let's be honest it's never been fully populated. Their new solution? They're going to put a thousand apartments behind their shopping center - cuz that'll get them to come in! I mean, people buy stuff online now. I got money that says the Amazon driver passes through this to the apartments behind it more often than the people come up to buy stuff in the stores. They'll come to the restaurants though... Maybe they'll put in a restaurant that isn't a big box at some point. Burtons is...

A lot of cheap stuff. Went in to look for garland but there really wasn't anything. We bought battery operated candlestick lights to put in the windows. They were under $4 for package of two. Got them home put the batteries in and didn't realize (because there's no instructions on the box because they're probably made in Guam or China) that in order to turn them off you have to unscrew the top where the light itself is otherwise they stay on. How ridiculous. So every time we want to turn the lights off we have to take the bulb off or turn one battery in the opposite direction and screw the bulb back on until you're ready to turn them on at night. Then you have to reverse the battery I order for it to light. Would have rather paid $15 for more practical lights. You can always find something useful in the store or a good deal but most of...
