Stuck with adjustable base that we cannot use due to causing back issues when my husband is already getting scheduled for back surgery. Lessons learned with this place. No returns. Such BS. Fought with Mattress Firm and now still fighting with Synchrony Bank that they use. We went in on 01/21/19 to look at beds because ours was worn out. They were able to get us an adjustable base (supposed to be free) as well as the mattress. They were able to do so by us opening 2 accounts which was fine. Over and over again, I had asked the price of the mattress each month and I was told "around the same amount you paid today which is $64". My husband signed the contract and we walked out of there with no contract and excited to get a bed 5 days later. We then received an email from Progressive Leasing stating our acct would be debited $400+ on February 5th. Progressive was unable to do what Mattress Firm told us they would do which was extend the payment plan and make it cheaper if we called. My husband then went in to ask the mattress store to pick up the bed and adjustable base to find out that they were going to charge us $75 + 10% restocking fee to pick up the mattress. Apparently, the adjustable base is not able to be returned. Long story short, make sure they go over the contract with you, look for any hidden fees, and if you're going to return anything, do not have mattress firm do the return. Call Progressive or whoever you lease it through. Also, make sure you leave the store with a copy of your contracts. We thought we had a wonderful experience until we had to do all the work to get this taken care of. The store managers didn't want to help at all and even told us we had to call Progressive ourselves. Progressive had already paid Mattress Firm for the mattress and they still attempted to collect over $300 to return the mattress to them. I am so happy that Progressive Leasing was able to help us. I will never be going back there again. This is the second time I've been screwed by Mattress Firm and I should have known better. UPDATE: Phillip, the manager told me he was going to email his manager about returning the adjustable base that we cannot use due to comfort and not having a mattress anymore. We've had it for 1 week. Let's see what...
Read morePam was extremely helpful and informative. I spent a couple weeks researching and checking websites to try to get an idea what is out there. It’s been about 10 years since my last bed purchase so I needed to catch up on the latest and greatest. Pam at MattressFirm was my first stop in person to try out mattresses and adjustable bases.
Pam was informative and really knows her stuff but also listened to what I was looking for. It was a very relaxed and easy conversation and I never felt like she was selling me something, just trying to provide me with the most info so I could make an informed decision.
I went back a couple days later and worked with Graham who was unbelievably helpful and really came through for me. He went above the norm after he found out it might be a few weeks before I could get the bed delivered. He called up the distributor and 15 min later I had an appointment to have my bed and mattress delivered and setup the next day! He also price matched and beat the quote I had from Denver Mattress. I couldn’t believe it worked out because it was all delivered and setup the next day even with all the supply chain issues, terrible weather and Covid complications going on right now.
It’s early days to give an overall review on my mattress but the Tempur Ergo Extend Smart Base has met and exceeded all expectations. It’s my first adjustable base and I’ll never buy another setup without one! It has already helped with my bad back situation and I’m assuming it’ll only improve.
The Tempur Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid mattress was noticeably better than any I’ve tried. I spent 3 days going all around town researching all adjustable bases and king mattresses and this, by far, is the right setup for me! I would go back to buy again and would recommend family and friends to do the same. I would avoid weekends if your looking to do some solid research and choose the mornings to shop if possible because most likely you’ll be the only one...
Read moreUpdated - The warranty process is a joke. One of the mattress we purchased did not even last 18 months. It has sunk over a full inch even with rotating the mattress a few time a year. Now we are getting back pain. We submitted a claim for warranty showing the sag, but of course, they said this was normal. The warranty process for them is a joke. They didn't even offer us to come in and find a new mattress for a discount.
Original Review - We shopped Denver Mattress, a local mattress store, Costco, and Mattress Firm. By far, Mattress Firm provided the best experience in every category(friendly, helpful, use of technology, patience, price, and hopefully a superior product). The sales rep Evander at Mattress Firm was excellent! He was knowledgeable, polite, not pushy, and very patient with me and my kids (who we were buying for). Mattress Firm has a great system with the right technology to try to get you the mattress you need. We tried over a dozen different mattresses, with different frames and pillows to find the right one for each daughter. Plus, the delivery was right on time, super friendly, and quick! I rarely give a 5 star review to a big chain store like this, but they deserve it all around. Hopefully the beds we chose work out and last...
