Killer Burger Spokane Valley: A Truly Disappointing Experience I recently had the misfortune of visiting Killer Burger in Spokane Valley, and I'm still reeling from how terrible the experience was. The "Meathead" burger was, without a doubt, the most disgusting burger I've ever had in my life. The bun was completely saturated with their house sauce, turning it into a soggy, spongy mess that completely overpowered any other flavor. The sauce itself tasted like nothing but pure pickle juice, with absolutely no other discernible flavors. It was so wet and soupy that I couldn't even hold the burger without it falling apart. A Disgrace to the Culinary Arts The patty itself was a grotesque sight—raw and red, not the pleasant medium-rare that a good burger should be. How a restaurant, especially one that prides itself on burgers, could let something so undercooked and visually unappealing leave the kitchen is beyond me. The level of care and pride in their food seems to be nonexistent. As someone who appreciates good food and knows what it takes to run a restaurant, this lack of quality control is frankly insulting. If you're not going to serve the best-tasting and best-looking food possible, you shouldn't be in the hospitality business. This was not just a mistake; it was a complete failure to meet even the most basic standards of food preparation. An Insult to My Wallet To add insult to injury, the cost was outrageous. Paying $80 for two burgers and two kids' meals for such a pathetic excuse for a meal is an absolute robbery. The food was so unappetizing that I ended up giving it to my dog, and even she, a notoriously non-picky eater, refused to touch it because of the overwhelming pickle taste. Killer Burger is an ironically perfect name, because after eating this, it will definitely kill any desire you might have for another burger. Save your money and your appetite, and go somewhere that actually cares about the...
Read moreI ordered online from this place and went through there drive through to pick up the order. When I got there I told the girl at the window my name and she came back and read off my order (2 burger meals, and a chicken strip meal) the lady reached her arm in the bag and felt around and said “yup, 3 boxes!” And handed me the bag.. a bag that only and very CLEARLY had 2 boxes. She closed the window so fast and walked everywhere to avoid me still waiting at the window. I then took the hint that she didn’t want to do her job, so I pulled my car around and went inside. I politely asked the young man at the front desk if they could fix my order and he said 7 mins. I take a seat and wait, and after about 15 mins of waiting I get up to ask if my order was finished or how much longer I’d have to wait, and he says “oh it came up a while ago.. I just didn’t know where you went” (I was sitting on the bench in the lobby literally right across from the cashiers desk. How did you not see me? But whatever I then get all the way home to finally unbox a takeout box that literally just had 3 tiny lonely little chicken strips in a box. No fries, no sauce.. 3 chicken strips. When I ordered a meal. The burgers (motley crew and classic were the only ones we ordered so I can’t say anything on the other burgers) over all, for the price they’re sold at, are most definitely not worth it. The pattys are dry, the fries are over salted, and you can tell whoever is cooking doesn’t really have a background in it. I would not...
Read moreI’ve been ordering from Killer Burger almost every week for family gatherings. It’s been a tradition of ours to pick up food from there, but after my recent experience, I don’t think I’ll be going back. During my last visit, I spoke with an employee named Makayla, and I was extremely disappointed with her attitude. While speaking to my children about how pricey the food has become (it’s no secret that this place is on the expensive side), she made a sarcastic comment, saying, “Well, maybe you shouldn’t order here if it’s too ‘pricey.’” I was taken back but decided to let it go, not wanting to make a scene in front of my kids. However, the behavior didn’t stop there. Every time I said something, she mumbled under her breath, which felt very unprofessional and disrespectful. To make matters worse, my order came out wrong. While I understand mistakes happen and it might not have been her fault as she’s not the cook, when I politely asked if it could be corrected, she told me, “Well, it’s almost closing time, so we can’t really change it.” I was appalled. After weeks of patronizing this restaurant, to be treated like this is unacceptable. All I wanted was a simple burger, and instead, I received poor service, an incorrect order, and unnecessary attitude. I can’t justify coming back here after...
