I booked a room at this hotel for a one night stay as part of a block of rooms reserved for a wedding. I made the reservation two months before the event and in the reservation I requested early check-in. Three days prior to the reservation, I called the front desk to ask if I would be able to get the early check-in as we were driving from over two hours away and the regular check-in was at 3:00 pm and the wedding at 4:00 pm. The woman I spoke to that day was very nice and said she would not be able to guarantee it, she put that I was requesting a 1:00 pm check-in in my reservation notes and told me to call the day of check-in after 8:00 am to know if I would be able to do that. I called at 9:00 am that morning and the woman I spoke to that morning had zero care in her voice and attitude. I told her what I was told and she told me that they had a lot of requests and couldn’t guarantee early check in that day. She didn’t ask for my name to check my reservation or anything. I then proceeded to use the front desk chat on the app as I am a rewards member and I was connected to the same woman. She claimed to be a supervisor but her responses were filled with horrible spelling issues, grammar issues and abbreviations that are common these days in text. Once again she did not ask my name and told me I could call a half hour prior to arriving to check on the status of my room which I did. I called at 1:30 pm which when we were a half an hour away from the hotel. A different woman answered the phone and asked for my name, she looked up the reservation and told me my room had been ready since 1:00pm. This was incredibly frustrating to know after the previous “supervisor” did not even bother to check. After checking in, we were placed in a room on the first floor next to the side entrance which was supposed to be locked and accessed with a room key. That entrance was unlocked for our entire stay allowing anyone to come and go without sight from the front desk. A few of our lights in the room did not work and the seal at the bottom of the shower door did not work. After showering there was a huge puddle on the floor. I tried to tell the front desk but they brushed it off. Please evaluate the hospitality of your hotel and let these employees know they do work in the...
Read moreDisappointing.||On the evening I arrived, I went to the bistro to order dinner, only to be told that the item I requested was not available — despite it being listed on the menu. The next morning, I returned to order breakfast and experienced the same issue: my first choice, also listed on the menu, was unavailable. I settled for a banana from the ones there, all of which looked like they had only a few hours of life left and a bagel. Unfortunately, neither were edible. The banana was spoiled, and the bagel was so saturated with butter that it was the consistency of a wet sponge. It would have been better if the butter had been served on the side, which in my experience it usually is. Not everyone eats butter on their bagel and certainly not that much. ||On the morning of checkout, I informed the front desk attendant about a serious issue with the shower. I was disappointed to learn that the staff was aware of the problem but continued to assign the room to guests. The attendant mentioned that a previous guest incident had resulted in the shower door being shattered. I suggested a temporary fix, such as installing a shower curtain, and was told there had been one, but it had been torn down.||This left me wondering and I asked why a paying guest should have to deal with the consequences of another guest’s actions? I did not get a response. When I first arrived, I had noticed what I thought was a glass partition, only to realize later that it was the remaining half of the broken shower door. The holes in the wall where the other half had been and the towel I had to place on the floor to avoid stepping into a puddle of water ( only 2 towels were provided. There was no shower mat/towel provided) confirmed that this was not an oversight, but a neglected repair. I’ll also add that the furniture in the room was soiled and the mattress was uncomfortable. Honestly, things I probably would have overlooked since I was only there for one night but feel I should mention since it added to an overall disappointing experience. As a frequent business traveler I’ve stayed at many Marriotts and Marriott Courtyard properties. This one...
Read moreWe came here late at night during an emergency because our AC broke and the humidity in our home was unbearable. I have three young children, one of whom is non-verbal and on the autism spectrum. He was crying, overstimulated, and overheated. We were trying to get a room to keep our family safe through the night.
When we walked into the hotel, the woman at the front desk greeted us with immediate attitude and sighing, rolling her eyes, and acting as if we were a burden. My child was crying from distress, and she coldly told us he needed to be removed from the area because other people are sleeping and it’s corporate policy.
I became upset and told her she was being discriminatory and instead of showing any empathy or professionalism, she threatened to call the police on me for calling out her behavior. She escalated the situation instead of simply doing her job and offering support to a family clearly in crisis.
I won’t deny that I raised my voice but it was after her hostility toward my child, and any mother in my situation would’ve done the same. My son is 3 years old, non-verbal, and already overheated. She treated him like an inconvenience.
If you have a child with disabilities, or if you’re looking for basic human decency during a tough time don’t stay here. You won’t find empathy, respect, or proper service. I’ve never been treated with such disregard and cruelty when all I wanted was to protect my children. She had curly medium high black hair. God forbid she would be asked to book a room and respond back with the nastiest attitude possible. Nope just said book online. We were literally outside coming in our kids over heated. 2 on the spectrum non verbal. One had not slept very well at home over heating. I had stayed here prior but i would never stay here again. No apparently only she was allowed to be rude. Was extremely quick to run to the phone to call police. I dont know what her full issue was maybe it was our old run down pjs or maybe its the fact im mexican. Who knows what her true issue was. Dont book...
