Been a customer at best buy for about 10 years now use to always be my choice for electronics. I don't usually do reviews but in this case I have to. I'm going to start off the story with 3 weeks ago I ordered the s24 ultra off website was on sale for 1049.99 the website was having issues so I wasn't getting a confirmation I went into store next day just to see they took it back up to $1300. Called best buy customer service and was told they can't do anything for me to speak to manager at store the assistant manager was very helpful but said there not much he can do come back Wednesday to speak to james... i came back in was given the run around that since it's on website they can't help me basically the customer service and the store pointing fingers at each other. I decided to give best buy another chance I ordered the s24 plus 512gb phone color black and it was open box excellent condition... it was $853 after taxes $905 ordered got confirmation this time... there was issues with ups so I called them I was informed that when package was moving facility to facility it was either lost or stolen and to contact best buy right away... I called best buy customer service and explained the situation... they gave me option of replacing the phone and everything the same and it would be open box in excellent condition when it becomes available it will be shipped I would get it no later than August 15th. Or I could have money refunded. I got a good deal and just wanted the phone so I chose that. Fast forward they send me email saying they canceled ordered and refunded money. Called customer support talked to Punith he said he could not help they wouldn't honor deal but it was available on website again the same phone on website now open box excellent condition it's just over 1k now almost $1,100 after taxes so $195 more... I said so it's available you just don't want to honor price I got it for especially when there was no reason not to when its exact same phone! I asked to speak to supervisor several times where he said they are going to tell you same thing. After several requests 7 or more times finally he agreed he puts me on hold for minute only to get back on saying the supervisor said that there busy with another customer to not waste my time because they are going to tell me same thing. When I made threat of bad review and contacting better business bureau he said he would try again long and behold now a manager is on the phone her name was Mubeen. She said it was wrong the policy and she would be upset if this was her in this situation to. But unfortunately this is the best buy policy and she was sorry for wrong information but they can't change policy for any customer even know I was wrongfully done. Basically it gave me a better understanding of where we fall as customers I'm not telling you to buy or not buy from best buy I'm just giving you an example of my experience and the fact I now have to wait for the $905 to be put back on my debit card and to look for another deal on phone I want elsewhere after weeks or run around excuses and finger pointing... Definitely a horrible experience to say the least! I will say this asurion I cracked the screen on my phone I was promised new and got refurbished I called customer support explained situation and because of there mistake they sent me a 1 time check of $1300 for the original price I Paid for my s22 ultra and to send other phone back but they made everything right on there end considering they made the mistake on what I was promised I guess I'm just throwing that in there 2 big companies and 2 very different outcomes when it comes to...
Read moreFellow consumers, our voice is only heard with our money. Having said that I encourage you to follow my lead and never give another cent to Best Buy. They have the worst customer service, and do not care about your satisfaction. Last summer we purchased a television and sound system from our local Best Buy, and also purchase all of the warranties available. IN February of 2022, we reported an issue with the television (Service Ticket 76375796). On the day of the appointment (3/9/2022), the service called and was informed the issue was not active. The technician canceled the appointment because he could not troubleshoot the problem if he didn't see it. The issue reappeared and became worse so on April 18, 2022 we again scheduled a service visit (Service Ticket 77688458) to address the issue. On April 22, 2022 the service tech investigated the issue and tells us he can't not fix it because he does not have the necessary parts. The service tech tells us that Best Buy will either order the part or schedule replacement of the television, but Best Buy or the GeekSquad would send follow up emails, texts or calls. No one from Best Buy contacted us afterward. I called Best Buy on April 28, 2022 for an update. I was asked why I called, and there was an in home appointment scheduled for May 4, 2022. Unfortunately this was the first we heard of the appointment, and at the last minute we needed to schedule another day off work. Best Buy nor Geek Squad contacted us to inquire about our availability for the appointment, they just made the appointment and never told us. On May 4, 2022 the service tech contacted us to say the part didn't arrive, and we would have to wait until it was delivered around June 10, 2022. The service tech, who provided the only decent customer service, stated he would push for a replacement but that decision was out of his hands. About an hour ago the service tech texted and stated that the dispatch team had not processed his request and that we would have to wait until early next week for any information regarding our repair or replacement. So, after spending thousands of dollars with Best Buy on "state of the art" equipment, we have an expensive 65" paper weight hanging on our wall. Additionally, we have no idea if Best Buy or the Geek Squad intend to fix or replace the television. I will never spend another dollar at Best Buy, and I will do everything in my power to urge every other consumer to choose another retailer for their electronic and appliance needs. LESSON LEARNED: NEVER SPEND ANY MONEY AT BEST BUY AND DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR ASSURANCES OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. The "workers" in this store only move quickly when it's closing time.
I arrived to pick up an online order and the doorman closed the door in my face. I asked him if I could just pickup my online order. He then asked me about it.
So I informed him that: 1) I'm just here for a online purchase pickup. 2) I have paid for the item and showed the receipt. 3) I have been waiting (and waiting) at Five Guys for email notification that it was ready. 4) It took them TWO HOURS to pull the item AND notify me that it was ready.
After going through all that, he said he can't help me and I have to come back tomorrow. I asked why did he have me waste more time telling him this if no one was going to help me?
A second person walked up from behind the first one and said that all the registers were closed out already and I'd have to pick it up tomorrow.
I informed them that I drove 45 minutes from Hummelstown to pick this scale up tonight; and NOW they expect me to spend over THREE HOURS driving for a purchase that they hemmed and hawed over pulling until after closing time.
I asked why didn't someone pull my order when it printed out, instead of waiting until closing time to do it? They said they don't know, but they are closed now. I said that is terrible service.
The second guy turned around and started walking around in the store. The first guy said "Oh well, tomorrow is another day." And he closed up the door again and walked off into the store.
Worst Customer Service, Ever!!! I think I'll stick to the Best Buy in Harrisburg if I want anything local. Contrary to Best Buy-York's behavior, being rude, arrogant, and condescending is not good business.
This was the third and FINAL time that I was foolish enough to think things would go well after ordering items for pickup from this Best Buy in York.
If it wasn't for the great service I get from the Harrisburg East store, I'd never shop at Best Buy again. I will (regrettably) use Amazon for anything my local Best Buy can't get in a day or two.
