We went to Longhorn to celebrate our 37th wedding anniversary. Longhorn screwed me again…
My wife ordered the Cowboy Pork Chops with NO seasoning or anything else, just grilled and plain. When they were brought to the table by the server there was a heavy layer of brown jiz on top of the chops; the server said it was "love butter" put on by the cooking staff. My wife tasted it which was nasty and off-putting to her. The pork chops were taken away and replaced with a new 'smaller' order of barely warm chops. I guess the customer gets "PUNISHED" by the kitchen staff when an item is returned and not made as the customer orders it. My meal was almost finished until her replacement chops came out; $18.29 wasted... The bread was hard and over-baked. The salad was not fresh and crisp as it normally is at Longhorn.
WHY would the kitchen staff put anything on someone's meal when they just order it without any seasonings and just plain? Seems like someone is not paying attention to details or poor training by management.
Also there is NO Mention of anything like "love butter" in the description on the menu, so it should not be on one's food, or the serving staff should inform the customer of such additions when the order is placed.
This is the second time I got screwed by Longhorn in a similar situation. First time was a couple years ago when I ordered a Cowboy Rib-eye Steak for my birthday. I was served a beautiful looking rib-eye with a Hugh blob of white cum on top of my steak which I ordered mid-rare with just salt and pepper, no other seasonings or anything else. They said it was ‘garlic butter’ which I said I did not order or request and I sent it back and had them take the steak off my bill, which they did. No food for me that day at Longhorn, no replacement meal period, I was pissed… I didn’t go back for almost two years.
Management is the key to successful. I think this place needs...
Read moreWhen we went there their menu was limited along with drink menu from the restrictions in PA. However, my girlfriend had to reorder her drink three times. She asked for a Redds Apple cider, waitress comes back ten minutes later and says they are all warm and none are cold. She asks for a strawberry margarita and waitress says they are out but have mango. She orders a mango margarita and ten minutes later the manager comes back and says that they don’t have mango margarita. She says they have watermelon and apologized, but when the waitress came back with her drink it was a mango margarita not watermelon. My gf asked for her vegetables to be al dente they came back mushy and over cooked.
However, the main issue I had was there was two babies non stop crying for well over half an hour. I finally got up and went over to the parents and told them to keep their baby quiet it’s disrespectful to everyone else. It was beyond excessive and the restaurant should be considerate of the other patrons there that don’t have toddlers or newborns. In fact, I don’t feel children should be allowed in some settings for this very issue.
I basically paid 75 dollars for subpar drinks and food and terrible ambience. I did leave a 20 dollar tip cash to be fair to the waitress being times are difficult for food and beverage individuals. I normally tip 40 to 60 percent of my total bill but was disappointed so felt the base tip was sufficient. The mistakes made on the drinks and food I can overlook but I can’t overlook management and/or a waiter/waitress not asking the noisy table to keep it down.
That being said, I will never go back here. I’m not spending over 100 dollars to be a babysitter or deal with a daycare volume of babies crying. I was not the only patron who was upset by the noise as a couple people thanked me after I told the parents of said infant to knock the...
Read moreGirlfriend and I went out for a beautiful Friday dinner, been here many times before and love it, however this time our waiter , Alexis ruined the experience, initially it was fine , she was nice and respectful , as she took our order she was visibly annoyed that we ordered one renegade sirloin to split, along with the blummin onions appetizer, the bread and the "free" side that we were lied to about, we had way more than enough food with the single delicious steak, Alexis made a sly remake that "it's cute we share a meal" in a snarky way, its not "cute" its our meal, and if I choose to I could have ordered 20 steaks, we choose to eat what we feel we can so we do not waste money or food, after we ate and got the bill it shown a premium charge for our steamed veggies we got, which Alexis never mentioned that it was a extra charge and insisted we order two sides, she kept stating it was on the menu, that's not the point here, the point is that she never told us it was an up-charge, afterwards I have paid using tge Mobile Pay QR code, she stoppes us as we were walking out and rudely ask's if I paid, after i said yes, she lookes at me and said "are you sure"?, and proceeded to attempt to block my path and wouldn't move as I have already paid for my meal and was on my way out to do other things.
This entire experience makes me wonder if I want to return to the restaurant in the near-future and I believe something should be done about Alexis and other's like her because it's going to make you loose business. There are many steak houses around, I rather take my money where I'm not lied to or accused of lying about paying...
