Okay, I don't know if I've ever NOT finished a burger, but tonight, I did not. I got really close, but it was super hard to choke even that last bit down. My body was revolting. And it wasn't because it was rotten, or something silly like it was tasteless or "not to my standards ." No, it was because the cook poured a shaker of salt on the patties. Seriously.
Food: It had to be a mistake. It had to be. There is no way someone would cook food with that much salt consistently. Customers couldn't eat that every night without someone noticing, right? It was like "bite this burger before a shot" level. But being serious, it was strong. I was done half way through, and powered through 90% of it because I cannot stand wasting food. But sometimes you just gotta throw in the to well.
Wings were good. They're A tier as they are. If the want to make them S tier, fully sauce them, man. They were drizzled with sauce. It was really too bad. Great flavor though. Fries were okay. Beer cheese was ro expectations.
Service: She was a bit short at one point, but she was there around the time needed, and overall pleasant. The bar takes over the restaurant and gives you a real bar vibe. If you look at it as a bar, service was great. 4.5 stars. As a restaurant, 3. Just there. Some disappointment was that there was a sign advertising burger plates on Tuesday at like $6, but the server told me it was higher, raising the price twice till it was like $10. I kinda got the vibe she was playing with the ticket a bit. I'm going to assume that didn't actually happen, but if you have a sign up and charge almost twice as much as the advertisement, people might think that. So weird. She was off on the menu prices for add ons, so the most plausible answer is that they don't communicate well, and she just couldn't remember details of the menu. Maybe she's new. Not too much trouble.
Atmosphere: I actually really liked it. Not a wow factor, but it sold "bar" and then elevated that. So for what it was trying to be, it was good. Obviously, it's more than just a bar, it's clearly a restaurant. Considering it's both, I split the difference between Service and Atmosphere on this one. Erroring up on atmosphere, and down on service. Oh, and tonight, I found out there's such a thing as televised golf simulator events/leagues. Crazy where we've come. Video attached.
Edit. I initially rated this a 3. That was being super generous. Honestly, as I go back and think about the waitress playing with my ticket like that, it should be way lower. That isn't acceptable. There can be innocent mistakes made, but the end product is what it appears to be. Take into consideration that my photos weren't even approved for post and there's something off about that. I downgraded to 2 overall. Won't go 1. Not when there's interpretability involved and some things that went well. But definitely some things that ensure I probably...
Read moreWent in to get a to go order, was given menus and said that someone would be with us shortly. After that we got snubbed.... They set ten different tables, all while walking past us, one table directly beside us, not once did she make eye contact while placing other people’s order. It was busy and I get that, but if 5 tables get drinks and food before us, before we even got to place an order, it’s not a busy night, it’s an attitude problem. They just flat out refused to give us service. We finally got up and placed an order at the front desk, the person that took our order apologize and ask us if we needed a drink or beer, appreciated it but didn’t want a drink. 45 minutes later, we got our food. The first order she said was “ wonky and burnt “ So they remade it! The boneless wings that my friend ordered was all batter, lil chunks of batter. There was very little chicken in the 10 boneless wings she ordered. We have been to your place once before this, with the same people waiting on us and had a good experience. This time was truly awful, degrading and outright uncalled for!! I was hoping the Northside would get a great place, but like usual you all failed and we will not return to your establishment! B-duds here we come. A little further to drive but far less disappointment. I still can’t believe that a whole restaurant staff would blatantly ignore you while conducting business with others that were seated waaaay after you were. By the way, we weren’t the only one, a single gentleman waited the same amount of time just to order a beer. They apologized of course. Keep it up Wings Etc. Places like yours don’t last around here, especially if you treat your customers...
Read moreI wanted this to be a great experience as my son and I love wings. So we will start there, the wings were large and had the appropriate amount of sauce on them. They were worth eating but we both ended up feeling ill after we left. I don't know if it was the wings or the unbearable heat in the Restaurant. We both left sweating and noticed others were having to fan themselves down as well. Back to the meal, we ordered a combination of 24 wings, fries, and drinks between the two of us. The cost for everything was reasonable with one exception and it's something I'm tired of at several wing restaurants, the dipping sauces. With our 24 wings we only got 2 total dips that came with the meal. Management knows that you will use far more than 2 (1 ranch, 1 blue cheese) when eating 24 wings. Even their menu suggests this bc you get 2 if you order 18 wings. Beyond profit (and greed) why not let your guests use as much they deem right for them. Stop nickle and diming everyone that walks through the door.
Finally, it took 15 plus minutes to run our debit card once it was handed to our server. It turns out that the credit card machines went down and nobody told us until we asked for our receipt two times. The first time we were told it was being processed as we speak and our server said she would be out with it immediately. After that it took 10 more minutes to get the card, and the carbon paper as they couldn't run it. I understand things happen, 15 minutes didn't ruin my life but just be honest with your guests, communicate...
