Let me just start this review by saying, WOW! This was my first time eating here and I was completely blown away by the food and the service. The two ladies working today made sure I had everything I needed. So to begin, I walked in a little after noon when the restaurantwasn't busy. I soon learned that the lamb is not served until after 4pm. The waitress spoke with the kitchen on my behalf and was able to place the lamb as my entree.

Red Wine: I ordered the Oak Trinity Cabernet. This was the cheaper of the red wine, but was good. I'm not a fan of overly sweet reds or too bitter. It sat perfectly on the palate.

Pot Stickers: The waitress came out and informed me to order them fried next time. When I said I thought they were by default, she had them flash fried for me. They came out perfectly crisp. Not dark or overcooked on any part of any of the dumplings. Without the sauce, these Pot Stickers are flavorful. They honestly can be eaten as they are. I ate several of them this way.

Lamb Chops: The lamb chops were cooked medium to medium-well. Served with Asparagus and Potatoe Wedges. They drizzled what I believe was a light cranberry sauce over top of the Lamb Chops. It wasn't needed but added a nice contrast to the taste of the Lamb Chops. They definitely made it on my top 10 restaurant for Lamb Chops. The only thing I did not eat was the Wedges, and that's because I don't normally eat them.

Strawberry Cheesecake: You can taste the time it took to purree the Cheesecake. My first bite into this thing, I was shocked how good it was. I'm a big Cheesecake fan and I will most certainly be coming back for one. Just the Cheesecake alone. Yes, it's that good.

I'm glad I was in the restaurant at the time I was to truly appreciate the food and the service provided here.

Update 12/15/22

Fire and Ice Filet, Lobster Tail and Scallops. When I say it was perfect, I actually mean it. It's rare that I order a stake medium and it comes out exactly as I ordered. The Lobster and Scallops were not drenched in butter. I really appreciated that. Without dipping them they had a great taste. Well done!

My server was a woman by the name of Ava. She was very polite and made sure I had everything I needed and not in the annoying come to my table every 2 minutes type of way. She would show up just as I needed something and would check-in as she just passed by. It was a pleasant experience. Thank you and...

My husband and I ordered beef steaks! I ordered the Sirloin filet- medium rare - and it was perfectly cooked and tasted great. My husband ordered the dry aged Ribeye - medium rare (for $13 more than my sirloin filet) - it did come out a little over medium rare, but still too cooked for my husband’s liking, so I switched with him (I love everything) and traded steaks. The dry aged ribeye was still good, but we did leave the drier pieces behind. The staff is excellent and the chef is still really good. The waitress was a little behind, but still good and very kind and asked how our food was and we told her the truth about the steaks and that we were not complaining, but you asked and I will tell the truth. She asked if we wanted a new steak ribeye or if she could discount this one. I said we are fine, we just told you the truth. Then another lady came over and asked how the steaks were and we told her the same, but we were not wanting to complain, because it was still very good food. My husband is just a medium rare kind of guy! Medium is completely unacceptable to him. The lady offered a desert and we accepted the desert and it was a lemon raspberry cake. It was good,, but definitely not something to write home about. Then we got our bill and they also gave us a 20% discount off the barely overcooked steak as well. Overall this restaurant is a great place to eat and also has good quality wines as well as a fabulous chef and staff. If 1 barely overcooked steak (by 2min. max) is the only thing off, then it is a great place to eat and not everyone is perfect 100% of the time. All in all, we are extremely grateful for the day we spent here enjoying a meal together, prepared in a clean environment with great staff members. You cannot go wrong eating here. Be kind and enjoy every minute you are not waking up in a hospital. Thank you for a...

Walking in, you're instantly enthralled with a fascinating fire illusion decor piece. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy. The bar and open kitchen create an upscale, yet relaxed environment. Very nice vibes. We were seated quickly and promptly visited by a charming server. They were attentative and knowledgeable of the menu. The prices were reasonable, considering it's a higher end steakhouse. We placed our orders - a cup of one of the daily soups, a side caesar salad, dry aged ribeye with accompanying sides, seared salmon with accompanying sides, and creme brulee for dessert. We also ordered some wine to pair with the dishes. Let's start with dessert - my personal favourite part of the meal. It was absolutely perfect. Delicately toasted sugar top and a velvety vanilla custard underneath. I'd come back for the creme brulee alone. The soup was delicious. A creamy chicken poblano soup that I'll be thinking about for weeks...and may try recreating. The salad was alright, apart from a bit of bad lettuce and the dressing being anchovy heavy. The salmon was cooked just right; glistening on the inside and crisp on the outside. The risotto paired with it was interesting. A tad gummy, but the salty bacon and sweet corn complimented the rest of the dish. The dry-aged ribeye was lack luster. The entire plate was okay. I was most excited about this dish in particular and I was dissapointed. The ribeye itself was oddly cooked, half being medium and half being medium rare. The mashed potatoes were boring and flat, the sweet-chili style green beans felt out of place. It needed a sauce. The menu online mentioned a wine reduction, but the plate didn't have one on it. All in all, a nice meal with excellent service. I'd like to come back and try more...

I'm giving a 4 for the service and for the atmosphere. This is a nice upper scale restaurant/steak house in Springfield, MO. I was in town for about 18 hours, and having been on the road for multiple days, it was time to sit down to a nice meal. I ordered a Jim Beam neat and the 8oz filet (rare), which came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The Jim Beam was a good pour, and I had time to savor while waiting for my dinner to arrive. The atmosphere is on a trendier side trending toward a quiet private dinner setting but with areas for larger tables. It can get rowdy in the bar area from what I experienced. The steak was prepared on more of a medium rare side, which I expected. The asparagus was prepared perfectly crisp on the outside but cooked thoroughly. The mash potatoes, however, were clearly instant. INSTANT POTATOES at an upper end steak house. Very disappointed with this for a meal at that cost. My sever was friendly, knew the menu, history of the restaurant and advised of places to visit for out-of-town visitors. Thank you, Lisa!
