Delicious hits every spot. We're enroute across the country and I was in the mood for coffee other than the hotel coffee, so as we checked out, I made sure we stopped in Echelon Coffee and they did NOT disappoint. We got there super early so it wasnt as busy. I wasnt sure what to get, but finally decided on The Formation latte. Krystin was super sweet in giving us details on the latte and prairie pie. As detailed as she was, I ended up getting a cinnamon roll. Thankful for Krystin's help. Super glad we stopped in for baked goods and spot on coffee/latte. If we ever somehow stop nearby or find another Echelon Coffee else, I'd definitely come back to it. Edit: I forgot to mention the latte and cinnamon roll... the latte is delicious in my opinion! Had the right amount sweet taste, but not overpowering, and cinnamon flavor that Krystin described - I had mine with oatmilk which added a nutty flavor. The cinnamon roll was also yummy. The dough was dense, but in a good way, and when I got to the middle, it was gooey of deliciousness. Wasn't too sweet either, just right. All and all I had a good cinnamony treat.

So far, it’s terrific! I have enjoyed several drinks from the drive through, but just went into the shop for the first time today. This shop has a unique atmosphere, with subway tiles, grey marble, and ultra modern lighting. Overall, it has a very distinct feeling in a city with lots of coffee shops. Drive through is plus! Drinks are good, I have tried The Formation, the iced strawberry mocha, the cortado, and the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. All have been good, but the Yirgacheffe is somewhat different to what I’ve had from other shops, but still had wonderful blueberry notes. I always check the bathrooms too, as a bad bathroom experience can wreck my opinion of a place. Bathroom was clean and well laid out. Instead of men and women’s, they have 2 family restrooms, which is nice because you don’t have to worry about being locked out if you really have to go. I have high hopes for this shop, and I’m glad to see it so busy so soon after opening.

Preface: This is their first shop, and they have only been open a couple months. All the "Negatives" are growing pains I would expect from a new business. It's a pretty space. The staff attempts to be nice, but it comes across as forced, not genuine. Their preparation of milk for traditional drinks is rough, and inconsistent. Espresso extraction is lacking flavor depth, as if they don't dial in the grinder regularly. All these small things add up to an experience that feels a large coffee chain experience, not a Specialty Coffee shop. BUT I believe all these problems are natural, and come from the difficulty of being new and training new staff. Given a little time, this place could be great.

Ordered three drinks. Iced strawberry mocha- tasted like strong instant coffee with ZERO flavor, zero mocha, zero strawberry, just extremely strong and bitter coffee with cream. A Caramel Frappe- sweet and caramel flavor, it was okay, just OK, but so much better that the strawberry mocha I was thankful I got one to try! Finally, a Caramel Latte- this had the slight Folgers instant coffee taste, watered down, ZERO flavor or sweetness. We actually don’t care for really sweet drinks, and even the mainstream popular coffee shops we get them with half the syrup they usually use. So it’s not like I want things to be crazy sweet and not be able to taste good coffee. I’m not sure what happened but it was like ingredients were just completely missed for our order. To be honest, I am basing my review off of the total politeness and honest interest in customer service by the drive up window employee. He was very kind and I believe was giving 100% to his job, which is nice to see. Otherwise, it would have been a one star review for our drinks. From the reviews, other people have really enjoyed their coffee, and through the drive thru window I could it was packed inside, with lots of people enjoying their food and drinks. Hopefully they figure everything out to deliver a consistent product as they get more in sync with the demand of being newly opened. The atmosphere looked pleasing and open with a very nice modern vibe. It’s unfortunate our drinks happened to have obviously been made...

Coffee is personal.

I have my favorite coffee drink, made at my favorite coffee shop; actually, the world’s best coffee (subjective opinion). Getting comparable coffee, of that quality while traveling is likely not going to happen. But I still like to try the local businesses.

Same thing I always get …everywhere, Iced Mocha, skim, no whipped cream. Echelon Coffee was fair. Probably a medium roast coffee. The faint coffee flavor was over powered by the chocolate.

Nice attractive shop inside and out. Easy access on the corner. Fantastic looking pastries. These quality delicious looking pastries have to be a strong contributor to helping the store maintain a 4+ star rating. Outstanding friendly service.

Lots of tables. Unfortunately, the abundant useable space invites laptop squatting, which can ruin the vibe of the coffee shop, and reduce the income for owners by occupying customer space for hours. It wasn’t bad this morning. There were several Laptop Hobos or Solopreneurs, if you prefer, in “their...
