I called on 2/21/25 and made a reservation for 4/01/25 and 4/02/25 departing 4/03/25. My husband was to be undergoing surgery and I was told that a special rate might be available for people undergoing hospital procedures. The reservation was for an "accessible" King SUITE with sofa bed and I was to receive the hospital discount, so all seemed well and good. When we arrived I was told by the desk clerk that our room had been given away and that I had the choice of a Junior Suite (accessible) or a King Suite (not accessible). When I mentioned that I had made the reservation on 2/21/25 I was told that I had those two choices and that was it. Bait and switch. Since my husband was probably going to have difficulty getting around I chose the accessible Junior Suite. Calling this room a suite is a wild exaggeration! It was cramped, the curtains hadn't been cleaned in ages as they reeked of dust, the sliding door could not be opened for air circulation as there was no functioning lock on the screen. There was also no functioning lock on the sliding door, just a thin bar that could be put in place. The track for the slider was filthy as well. Apparently, Marriott no longer offers clean towels or room cleaning every day as they used to, so I had to ask for fresh towels and have a pile of wet ones in the corner. The tissue holder wasn't functioning, all you could get were bits and pieces. So, on further examination someone had put all the remains of various tissue boxes into one. Very sanitary! COVID, flu, etc. anyone? The shower was showing mildew in spots. Another reason that I chose this hotel over others in that area was that it was supposed to offer in-house dining, breakfast and dinner. I found that dinner was no longer an option as they had discontinued that service. So after spending 13 hours at the hospital I had to go out and find something late at night. I see that I also paid the same price for the Junior Suite so I must assume that I did not get the...
Read moreWe stayed here for 2 nights on points on our way home from Seattle, WA. We arrived just past 9pm. Upon check-in, there was no acknowledgment of being Gold Member status and when I asked for a corner room, I was told there were no upgrades due to the hotel being full, but upon checking later, there were rooms available. Had a decent first night’s sleep despite a scraping sound coming from the A/C, but was tolerable. Around 6am I was awoken by someone in the room above running/jumping back and forth in the room like a Olympic gymnastics floor routine which lasted for hours. When we returned to the hotel for the night around 6pm, the person was still running/jumping back and forth in the room. By 8:30pm, I decided to report it to the front desk which they said they will call up and ask them to stop which it only stopped for about 10 minutes. Around 9pm, I went to the front desk to complain again which they said they will call up again, but this time the running/jumping didn’t stop, in fact there was more jumping! Around 9:30pm I went back to the front desk to ask for a room change since the A/C was making scraping noise as well, but was told there is nothing they can do until their quiet time at 10pm. Only thing the front desk offered was war plugs which will not help when it’s vibration from someone running/jumping in the room above. I was too tired after that to go back and complain further which I’m sure they were hoping for. The next morning the running/jumping started again just before 8am, but we’re we’re packing to leave already. Overall I am very disappointed in how this Courtyard Marriott treats their elite members! If I was to ever stay in Eugene again, I would try staying at Fairfield Inn Eugene/Springfield instead as they at least offer free breakfast. If you are an elite Marriott’s member, Don’t Expect great service here because they Don’t Care!!! The housekeeper (I wish I asked for her name) for my room was very friendly and did provide...
Read moreSpringfield Eugene Marriott Courtyard Hotel Review||Generally, a nice hotel. My room was on the ground floor close to the central lobby area, so I was concerned that it would be noisy, especially when I saw a number of families with children staying at the hotel, but it was quite quiet. During the summer I I would be concerned about noise as the patio area outside of the room has a gas fireplace and seating. ||The bathroom was clean with a nice shower stall with a curving glass shower door. The extractor fan in the bathroom was quite loud. ||The room was located near a laundry room (one washer and one drier) which was convenient ($2.75 to use each machine – quarters required). There was no laundry detergent available in the laundry room.||It was nice that you could sign in to your Netflix and YouTube accounts on the room’s TV. The bed was comfortable, and the room darkened nicely with the light eliminating curtains. It would have been nice to have a microwave and a safe in the room. There were also no robes in the room, which would have been nice to use to visit the pool and hot tub.||A real disappointment was the breakfast, which cost $22. The breakfast was a small helping of scrambled eggs, two sausages, some tomatoes in pickling solution, and one piece of toast. Very poor value.||When I asked for an additional piece of toast, instead of potatoes, but was told there were no substitutions and that an extra piece of toast would be an extra charge. ||The staff were very pleasant and helpful.||Overall a good stay, but at $250 for one night this did not seem like...
