Mali Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Springfield

See the email I sent to the management - it has been three weeks and I have received no response:

We ordered take out last night and I was dissatisfied with my order and wanted to share our feedback.

We ordered the Avocado Green Curry with chicken, fresh summer rolls, Tom Kah soup + noodles, and a mango and an avocado Boba drink.

The biggest problem was the boba drinks. The boba was not fully cooked and the drinks were not well blended. We had glued boba "masses" that were the size of a small egg at the bottom of the drinks. The boba texture was grainy and hard. At $5 per drink, this was very disappointing.

The other issue was the soup order. At every other Thai restaurant I have ordered this soup with the noodles, the noodles came cooked, on the side. Your staff put the cooked noodles in the bottom of the take out container and then put the soup on top. This meant when I went to put the soup in a bowl all the soup came out first and the noodles came out in a giant blob on top. The soup broth hadn't even penetrated the noodles, so plain noodles sat on top of the soup and there wasn't enough broth to mix with the noodles. I would also mention that the chicken pieces and cabbage chunks were very large and not what I would expect or prefer in a soup where I wasn't planning to use a knife to cut my food.

Finally the fresh summer rolls lacked a protein option (often shrimp or tofu) and seasoning (often basil or mint).

Great corner location with fantastic food. Friendly staff greeted me as I entered and helped me decide on my order. I started with the summer rolls and had the chicken and shrimp avocado green curry. The summer rolls were so fresh, everything crunched beautifully inside the rice paper. The peanut sauce is WARM! It threw me for a loop at first, but then I realized how incredibly delicious it is that way. Also try the sweet & sour with the summer rolls, tasty change of pace. The chicken & shrimp avocado green curry came out piping hot, clearly freshly made, and tasted even better than it looked. The chicken and shrimp were perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. The green curry sauce is so good I was spooning it up like soup. Finally tried Mali Thai! Pad woon sen with chicken, pineapple fried rice with beef, black Thai iced tea and green tea Thai iced tea. Everything was delicious and the lady who took our order was so nice. I asked for medium heat in my pad woon sen and I thought it was perfect heat for me. Heat affected my mouth but not back of the throat or nose. The Thai iced tea really helped cut the spice too. The restaurant is tucked away near Shari's on Beltline and Gateway intersection, this is a hidden gem for sure.
