I've been here a handful of times now and the food never disappoints. The Gouda mac n cheese is to die for! Love the creamy and heartiness of the cheese sauce. The atmosphere of this place is also very cool - typical brewery type. I will say the service really lacked on my most recent visit. Very slow to be seated -15mins even though there was at least 10 open tables that still followed the covid guidelines. For some reason the server took the time to clean off a dirty table and then when we sat down was still wet. Shortly after people were seated at other tables that were already clean right after us. Not sure why we had to wait for a dirty table. Even after that the sever was very slow and even getting our orders in was a hassle. The menu also didn't disclose things like if veggie patties were available and what things came with. Not sure what happened this experience but others were pretty typical. I will be back again next time i'm in town.

Burger was OK, kids burger was inedible. Overall this was a mediocre dining experience. Ordered the Franklin Fury, Kahuna Burger, Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and a kids burger. Franklin Burger was spicy and flavorful, Big Kahuna was actually quite bland and underwhelming, Fettuccine Alfredo was so-so and the kids burger was basically a hockey puck. Went 1 for two on the beer. First one the bubble hash or whatever it was called was pretty smooth, balanced and tasty. The 10 year anniversary double IPA was funky musty and gross. Should have asked for a sample before I ordered the pint. I have had good meals here but this was note one of them.

I went here because they were participating in the Food for Lane County Grilled Cheese Experience and were offering a crab rangoon sandwich. I got my sandwich with onion rings and a house made rootbeer. Everything was amazing! The sandwich had tons of filling of melty crabby goodness, the onion rings were generous, crisp, and flavorful, and the rootbeer was yummy! But above everything else was the wonderful service I got there! My waitress was Jackie and she was so genuinely kind and welcoming and she seemed to just enjoy her job so much that it made my dining experience even better by extension!

The GM of your restaurant (Nick, likely the individual reading this) informed me that despite being treated so poorly by the staff, it was in fact me that was the problem because all the staff & 1 customer agreed with each other & I was the solo person so of course I was wrong. As someone who has spent more than 20 years in the food service industry, I can see exactly what's happening: empmoyees are sticking together against the customer; they are many, I am 1.

Let's address several concerns:

*1). If I truly was "pulling a scam" as Nick so brazenly accused me of, then why did I just give away $20 in gift cards from another restaurant? Was my meal comped from them? Yes but what NICK FAILED TO ASK ME ABOUT were the circumstances around that. My God had a large hair in it (no I did not plant it & no it was not mine; it was the wrong color and length). Knowing my meal was covered by my per diem allowance from work, I opted to give away the gift cards. Yup, sounds like a scam to me. If you're concerned I scammed them, feel free to call & verify. It's the Outback right across the way. Ask for David, the manager; he can tell you how I "scammed them" into giving 1 gift card to a single mom or another to an elderly couple that was struggling to cover their bill.

2). Knowing I ended up with more "stuff" (food, beer, etc) than the gift cards the restaurant gave me, I decided to continue "scamming" people by paying for my Dutch Bros & leaving am extra $20 to pay for people behind me. What a scam!

3). If your star employee Gavin wasn't flipping me off, then how come I can describe the way in which he flips people off? There are 2 ways really, fingers all the way down or half-folded. Ask him to demonstrate; I guarantee I'll get it right. BTW...you said you saw it all on the cameras but I'm guessing you didn't actually watch it because around 9:45 pm is when Gavin walked back in from outside, sat down, pulled his left hand up to his head, near his ear & flipped me off, twice. (I checked my notes, I wrote down 9:42 pm.

4). Even after the problem was reported to Andrew, I offered at least twice if not 3 times to pay for my drinks (3 beers total). Such a scam! I trying to get you to let me pay for my own beers! 5). Scam artists such as myself regularly volunteer as Sunday school teachers or as CASA's (Court Appointed Special Advocates). Yup, appointed by the state, I must be a derelict, complete trash of society (Google it).

WHAT A TOTAL SCAM!!!!

The level of bravado & attitude that Nick displayed is astonishing! But then I have to remind myself that he's likely a CHILD with the most minimal amount of life experience (i.e. an ignorant, uneducated, ill-informed individual).

I'm 86'd from your establishment? My FIRST EVER & I'm knocking on 41 years of age. Ok, cool. The only time you'll see me & your cheap beer in the same photo or reference is this review or if I'm dumping that trash down the drain. I'm so glad your carbonated, horse-piss of an excuse for beer is WAAAAY BEYOND my price range.

I'd survive off Velveeta cheese & Pabst before I'd eat free scraps out...

We're from out-of- town and this place popped up as one of Springfield's top 10 restaurants. We went here 2 days in a row. Atmosphere is pleasant but during busy hours is on the loud side. Every interaction with staff was pleasant. The meatloaf is cooked in muffin cups and my 3 meatloaf "muffins" were very dry and on the chewy side. It was swimming in their tomato-bacon sauce which just tasted like BBQ sauce. I did not enjoy this dish. The carrots were fresh and cooked al dente and the mashef potatoes were tasty. I do not reccomend the meatloaf. My daughter got the beef stroganoff and really liked it and ate the leftovers later that night. Also we ordered it for her to go after soccer practice the next day. The pork tacos were ok but wouldn't order again. My son ordered the fish and chips from the kids menu. The fish and breading were excellent! Would definitely order again. The clam chowder was super chunky but delicious and would order again. The potato cheesy soup (i can't remember exact name) was tasty but way too rich. It seemed like it needed to be diluted. I would not order that again. The sausage sampler came with 2 huge sausages, one was like a hot link (just ok) and the other was very tasty! Would order that alone. My husband ordered a 6 beer sampler. He really enjoyed the Oktoberfest but unfortunately it's seasonal and was not available the second day. You can order Growlers to go for only $13. Which is a great deal! The root beer float was delicious with in- house made root beer! The service was excellent. I'd love to keep going back to explore the menu. FYI we tried stopping in at Hop Valley in Eugene, and it's like night and day. Very, very different atmosphere and had only a "munchie" menu. We got up and left after no service and the place was pretty empty. Springfield one is...

I work in the area so I was coming in here 2-3 times a week, until a few Sundays ago (April 27 I believe). My boyfriend and I came in because we decided to make it a date spot every Sunday.

It was busy because Eugene marathon was going on and I didn’t mind waiting 15 minutes to have someone come greet us and take our order (2 beers and a appetizer) we finished our beers and waited another 20 minutes before anyone came around to check on us again, which we ordered two more beers. After those were done we wanted more beers but it was just taking too long so we were gonna just get our check and take off, we waited another 20 minutes and half the tables had cleared out by that time, so as the bartender was passing by I said “Hey whenever you get a moment can..) and he cut me off very rudely saying “You need to wait” loudly and sternly, I was just going to say I needed my check so he didn’t have to make an extra stop. At that point I just wanted to get out of there.

I work in hospitality and understand it gets stressful, I understand it being busy and service being slow but I don’t understand people being rude to me when I go out of my way not to be a hassle.

I haven’t been back since and honestly the only day I’d ever go back is a Monday because the bartenders that work that day are amazing. I always recommend this place to guests that stay at my work and it’s sad when one persons bad day can ruin...
