Our room wasn’t ready the first night of a two night stay when we tried to check in after 6 PM. They said they didn’t have enough cleaning staff and that we would have to wait with no ETA of the room being available. Then they provided us with the incorrect reservation- we had two beds for two people. They tried to give us one bed and told us they didn’t know when our correct room would be available. We got into our 2 bed room close to 7 pm then we found that the air conditioning didn’t work for the incorrect room nor the new room. It was close to 90 degrees out. We were told that we had set the AC incorrectly on high because high never works and that's why there was no cold air. Then when the manager came to inspect the AC she determined it wasn’t producing cold air. The manager provided us with a box fan and attempted to fix the AC, but no luck. I’d also like to comment that the Duck game was happening and the room for that first evening was over $300 for the night. When we got into the room we saw feces near the toilet and urine and feces outside the room. We were told to bring the box fan back at 5 am the next morning when we headed out for the day. When we went to drop the fan off at the office at 5 AM no one was there - so we had to take it back to the room anyway so it wouldn’t get stolen. When we returned at 5 pm for the second night there were ants in our room and it hadn’t been cleaned. We asked if we could change rooms for a room with AC, but we were told again there was no ETA on a clean room with working AC and that we would have to wait. No apologies given. We were also told that since it was after 5 that technically we weren’t entitled to get a refund for that night. Even though we weren’t able to access the room. The manager said she would authorize it even though she was not supposed to. At that point we were completely fed up, disgusted, tired and hot and decided that we were not staying the extra night and that we were staying somewhere else. We tried to get into the room to get our things, but our keys had been deactivated. Additionally, when we emptied the room of our belongings there were ants everywhere even though we didn’t have any food in the room. We had to wait another 15 minutes just to get checked out to leave. There were no apologies and we were treated like we were the inconvenience. This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel in my life. Spend the $10 extra bucks somewhere else and get a clean room that is tolerable with folks who know how to treat customers. It typically is a good value, but my heath and safety are worth more than the savings. My friend and I will not be back.

So this is a old motel plain and simply. Don’t get me wrong if you need a what should be a cheap place to stay and don’t care if you might possibly get bed bugs this is your place to stay. The staff was very friendly at least, which you don’t normally see in these kinds of places. The first room I got didn’t have any heat and I’m here during an ice storm with 25 degree weather. This was obviously the “pre remodel” room. The tv had so much burn in from a menu system they used to have on them you couldn’t really see anything. The only usable plug was 10 feet away across the room. Good thing I had my long charging cable with me. They had old light from 20-30 years ago that the twist switch had long worn out. And the thing that was supposed to control the heat had paint all over it so you could not tell if you were making it hot, cold or summoning the end of the world. So, after a couple hours of huddling under the thin layer of what they call a comforter, I went to the office to ask for a new room. Again they were very nice, said that they knew it had no heat the week before but they were off for a few days and figured it had been fixed by now. The new room was the “remodeled” room. Really the only difference is the old room had a cheap “modern” style headboard attached to the wall that was a thought from the nineties and the new room was a cheap “modern” style from the last 5 years. Hey, but at least the new headboard comes with outlets! Oh, and as added bonus this room had a bottle opener conveniently attached to the bathroom sink. So, I guess I to drink a beer when I’m on a toilet. I have to say the shower is a weird thing. It’s a corner unit and in order to keep the water spill to a minimum the shower head is actually on the curtain side facing into the corner. I didn’t use it though because there were several cracks in the shower liner and the grab handle you would use to get out was breaking (clearly separating at the top). Would not have been such a huge thing but since there was an event in town they charged me 120 a night. But I guess I was lucky because there was also an ice storm and the front desk was quoting 350! Yes 3 5 0 for the night. But, I guess they have to finish the “remodel” somehow.

First room the toilet did not flush, the tv did not work, the lights flickered, no water pressure in shower and ac did not work and no screen in the window, also sink was ready to fall off wall. We called front desk 3 times to report the clogged toilet we were told maintenance would be up never showed 2 more called and same thing after an 2 hours we went a found a plunger from the cleaning lady, plunged the toilet ourselves and put one test piece of toilet paper in and would not flush. When we went to the front desk finally to get a new room she said well I put a note in to maintenance and expected us to stay in a room with a toilet that did not work. Second room ac does not work the door safety latch is broken screws falling out of the door. The shower is extremely small…. Extremely small. They have outside lights at night for safety however you can’t tell if it is 2am or 2pm these things are so bright and the room curtains do absolutely nothing. I’m assuming that’s why some guests have taped black trash bags in the windows. Ohh and upon check in they have a sign saying absolutely no early check in…. But when asked they said well you can pay us an additional $20 or we will wave that fee for a 5 star review. This being for a room you haven’t even stayed in yet. SCAM STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE at all costs you have been warned. All the other 5 star reviews have likely been scammed out of them by a 20$ fee waive because there is no way anyone with any self respect would think this place was good choice. This place need to be condemned.

We encountered the worst experience with a rude, unprofessional check in clerk. The mountain of errors and lack of communication definitely put us off from going back to Motel 6 in Springfield, Oregon. First off, I would like to say the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the cleaning staff was very friendly and prompt when we asked for a second pillow. As far as our dissatisfaction, allow me to explain the situation and circumstances. We made the reservation weeks in advance and had explained we needed a downstairs room, we have a large well-behaved dog, my husband is disabled and requires a cane to walk, he cannot do stairs And we were coming to town for his eye to be operated on. This was made very clear when making the reservations! We showed up after his eye surgery right around check in time (3 o’clock hour), I started the check in process and was told my husband had to come in and show his ID, my 76 year old husband came in eye patched up and using his cane, showed his ID and I continued on with the reservation, gave her my card (which was already on file), I took the paperwork she handed me containing the room key card, WiFi password, motel map, car parking pass, etc. at which time I notice the room number began with a 2. I asked if the room was upstairs and she said Yes. I then informed her this was not what we had requested. Her demeanor drastically changed as it showed she was obviously unhappy with my displeasure and rudely told me they were low on clean sheets. I told her we had no problem waiting for a downstairs room, she said she could not quarantine us a downstairs room no matter how long we waited. When I asked her to check her computer to see if someone had checked out of a downstairs room, I was told that was not possible, I then suggested she call room maintenance to see if they were working on any rooms downstairs … I believe you have the idea. This whole interaction was completely unpleasant, unprofessional and made it clear that she did not care about our situation or have any desire to help us, it was a totally ugly experience! I told her to just cancel the room, reimburse my card, that we would go elsewhere. I was informed that she could not delete/cancel the transaction and reimburse my card, nor could she guarantee that we would get our money back, she further stated it was up to management and if and only if it was approved it would be 3 to 5 days! When asked to talk to management we were told they were on vacation. My husband and I are on SSI and cannot afford to have our money tied up like that or worse yet, not be reimbursed. So under the circumstances we felt we had no choice but to stay. I asked about an elevator and was told there was none (even though I could hear the one the staff was using). I carefully guided my husband up the stairs to the room, come back down to guide our 100lb dog up the outside concrete stairs, then make a third trip for our overnight bag. All 3 trips were in plain view. The check in clerk is easily in her 30’s which makes me wonder how she would feel if someone treated her parents and/or grandparents in the same manner in which she treated us. Needless to say we have No intentions of staying at that...

It was really genericZero water pressure, No bar soap, No shampoo or conditioner, No microwave No mini frig, Fitted sheet was to big, & top bedding was sheet with ratty looking blanket and another sheet on top of that. Bathroom had spaces where towels go 2 of spaces were empty & only 1 washcloth We were on 2nd floor the ceiling had cut outside bathroom door was 2ft long x 3/4inch gap that was creepy, and there's moreeach building are L shape with1st & 2nd floors rooms on all side & only one staircase per building God forbid there is ever a fire cuz even on normal day you gotta go around building at least once to find the stairs & railings are dirty gross pray you don't need to put hands on it for balance to guide you up or down the sraies, yes that diry. We seen police go through when we were checking in & out next morningThey need not worry at 10pm & 9am because common sense says they should be rolling through 1 O'clock am & 3 or 4 O'clock am when misfits are out looking for opportunities to jack vehicles or whats in or on them. The police are suppose to protect & serve☆ Nope instead rather not bump into the local meth heads in middle of night stocking the parking lot, Nope the police give them all space they need & wait their turn when 9am bright outside to stock parking lot while lolly gagging stopping to read each & every big bad stupid licenses plates hoping to make victim's of their own. For god sakes get out of the way some of us gotta get back on the road. And offended if you mistake them lolly gaggers for being there to help & assist you after all you did call police & waiting for them to come make report cuz ur work truck was robbed of tools & other items by tweakers they know well & go out of the way to avoid all night, god fordid the police get in the way or interrupt them robbing anyone right, lol... Springfield motel 6 is that bad & can only hope they do better in the future. .years of traveling we've had to stay at motel 6's some better then others but one or to over the years could of been better & did. Now all pretty much have been remodeled & updated so there is No excuse this last experience. You would think after motel 6's have been remodeled all over the country owners would hire A1 employees that care to do they're job & reputation justice. Just because its motel 6 dont mean it has to settle half wit employees that turn it into a dive. It may not be for the rich & famous, but feels like it when you step into ur room & it says 5 star employees been working they're magic after we've worked to hard, worked to long drove to far & pray for safe clean place to rest our heads. No we love all responsible & not just giving anyone the credit we know whos doing all the hard work☆》⁵⁵⁵⁵ones that do the wash, the ones that do the cleaning that's we are thankful for as we get to close our eyes & sleep for awhile. And we never forget the good one or the bad ones And the bad ones will come up time to time But we all love bragging about who what & where the awsome places to stay are even if it's...

This is the third, and final, time that we've chosen to stay at this motel. All three visits were disappointing. I made my reservation for a queen size bed, with a bathtub. We arrived at 2:30...30 minutes before check-in...and were told the room wasn't ready yet. Fair...we were there early, after all. They said it would be at least an hour before the room was ready. Okay. 3:30, it is. I returned at 3:30 to be lied to and told housekeeping was in that room as we spoke. I told them at that time that I am a recent amputee and after the drive, I really needed to get out of that car. They told me 15 minutes more and it would be ready. We spoke with housekeeping. We spoke with the front desk. We spoke with a gentleman that I'm not sure what his function was other than breathe...we didn't see him move more than he had to...and was also rude and arrogant about the fact that we were 45 minutes past check-in time and had the audacity to ask HIM about it. He lied to us a second time and said someone was getting ready to go over and clean it right then. We spoke to the manager and explained yet again that I am a recent amputee and I needed to get out of the car and into the room that I paid for. At 4:14, we were finally checking into our room. Upon opening the door, we discovered that the room had a double bed instead of the queen that we paid for. The bed was soft and comfortable, but not so much for my 6' 4", 300 pound husband. It was a small room, but the bathroom was good size, and equipped for handicap accessibility. Other than that, the room was a disaster. There was a 1/2" gap at the bottom and side of the door that they attempted to fix with a piece of metal...which was peeled back, making for a hazard, but doing little else...especially performing its intended function. The bathtub had to be cleaned before being used, and it was still questionable. There are large paint chips missing throughout the building and it's not very well kept. As stated before, this was my third stay with them, and all three times, the criminal element showed itself in a big way. The first time, a woman was trying to get her boyfriend to come out of the room so she could run him over. She was barrelling through the parking lot with tons of near-misses before the police got there. The second time, a homeless woman decided to take up residence on the walk in front of one of the upstairs rooms, again resulting in police presence. This morning, I was awoken to a woman screaming at the top of her lungs profanities that I'm not sure I've ever heard before today. Pets are permitted, but most are unruly and off leash. I would be very cautious about utilizing this particular motel. Save your money, time and patience and go elsewhere. It needs a ton of work. From the attitudes of the people that work there to the actual building and rooms, it all needs...
