Starbucks — Restaurant in Springfield

Stopped thru the drive thru for a latte with chai and that's how I ordered it. It came to $7 and change. I pulled to the window and sat there for a long while. When someone finally came, she told me my total which was higher than I've paid other places, so I asked her if she rang it in as a latte with chai because it's usually cheaper. She got an attitude immediately and said she did "because the other way is way more expensive." I said ok, I was just curious and asked when it got so expensive. She gave me a look of irritation and said "It's probably our taxes. Things are more expensive on this side of town" I live on the same side of town 🙄 I said ok and asked for a straw. She said "You owe me $7" to which I replied "I'm aware, we were talking". The whole time I've had my phone out to pay her and she's been too busy having an attitude to scan it. It's honestly not what she said, just the attitude she had while saying it. I'll stick to the other Sbux locations where the drinks are cheaper and the...

The quality of the drinks is fine, and orders almost always correct and prompt.

This is a personality issue. I won't pretend I have many options but to use this location, which I know you will Lord over me. The number of times you've threatened to tamper with my drinks/food with bodily extractions, taken my food unnecessarily to the back, the whiplash from how one visit everyone is friendly and polite, to the next insulting me and questioning my sanity/integrity when there is no reason before now for you to even know my name since I put the online ordering under my mother's.

I don't expect things to change. I do feel the need to express how repugnant I find this behavior, and it didn't have to be this way.

Edit: Since this won't let me reply to the owner, I wanted to add a "thank you" for reaching out. I hope your staff will reward your employment better in the future. I'm still disgusted at the behavior...

I started to label this as my favorite Starbucks in town but saw someone beat me to it! I usually try to stick to local coffee shops but this one makes me forget it’s a chain! Light airy field and the nicest staff I think I’ve ever encountered in my years of traveling and visiting dozens of Starbucks.

You know that question they ask on surveys of “did your barista make an effort to know you or make your experience enjoyable (or something like that)”? And in your mind you are like “I ordered a Pike roast, how is that even possible...I was out in 60 seconds”. Let me tell ya, this team finds a way! Incredible example of the brand.

Only thing I’d pass along is it is a little louder at this location. Not in a bad way, more of a “this store has a soul and culture” but....may not be the best place to...
