As an international businessman man,I travel global, currently only in the developed countries ,and about 160 nights every year I stay in Hotels and pay by myself,as I do my own business, all my own money. every year, the hotel cost will be a big amount,so usually I will choose 2-3 star hotols. For the Pear Inn hotel,I highly recommend. considering the price the service ,the kindly reception ,the clean. In STL airport area,I lived in 4-5 different hotels, the newly “BEST WESTERN “is the worst, the hotel is new ,the the reception staffs are,I don’t know how to express in English, lazy, not kindly and never think about the future, just stay here ,get the money ,go home. And the same to Hilton nearby hertz. I respect every one,but honestly In this area, many people,I don’t think they live in a good life,it will leads to an negative attitude when working and rude,i come to this area several time suffer and experience a lot, especially in Best Western, especially when you are from ASIA. So if you want to enjoy your short stay here, you may consider this PEAR INN.

Gem of a hotel! Upon arriving in St. Louis I checked in to the Drury ~Pear Tree Inn Airport. In all of my travels I do believe this was the easiest, best check-in I’ve ever experienced. I requested a fourth floor quiet room which Taria happily offered! All the ladies working there were wonderful! Then down to the nightly reception with ALL STAR Ron. A fine, friendly gentleman from one of my favorite areas of the city, University City. Ron knows all the special places growing up in St. Louis that as teenagers and young adults we enjoyed throughout our beautiful city. I had a reservation the following day for an Airbnb which was a bust so I headed back to the hotel and got the same room and Ron was hosting the nightly reception again~ he hustles to make your evening grand as he can! Thank you to all who made my stay so special! Mahalo🤙🏼

Tamaeka(I don't think I spelled that correctly) was rude upon check in. When I made the reservations they quoted me $23 less than what I was charged. I asked about it and she had so much attitude saying rooms are the same cost no matter what. If you quote me a price on the phone, I expect the room to be that cost. However no need to be rude. I did not get the room for the price I was quoted. The rooms are so small for the cost, but they were clean. Their snack time was a joke, stale chips and salsa and it was delivered by a guy running around like crazy, only got half of our party salsa. The breakfast had a decent selection though. Not sure if I would book with them again just from the service.

My third run in with the Pear Tree Inn is what did it for me. I'm coming to see my family because I've been sick and my mother is worried about me. Im lower on funds so I decided once again last time the stay wasnt that bad. I had a good parking spot because I parked my car and left it there so I didn't have to worry about walking all over. (Which sucked because I had to pay for Ubers when I left just to make sure I could get my stuff to my car in the morning.) It was a scarifice I already decided to make before I came due to the circumstances. My room was fairly clean, so I thought. Saturday went great, clean room, clean floor, clean everything. Sunday morning, I went to the bathroom at 6 am and when I turned on the light I saw a HUGE bug just crawling around the floor. So I took a video and video called my mom to show her. She told me to look around if I see more and under the sink was about 6 or 7 of them JUST CHILLING. I took a video once again killed them all and my mom said just go back to bed and tell them in the morning. I needed sleep to drive back home. So around 930 I get up back my stuff shake it off to make sure there's no bugs. I go to the front desk and the same manager from the last two times was there. I showed her the pictures casually because at this point it don't surprise either of us. She was nonchalant and did not car at all. She refunded me yet again and I told her I didn't want a refund I wanted her to fix the problem. The problems just keep going and going. She didn't really seem to concerned I told her she needed an exterminator or something because I'm on the fourth floor. They had to crawl to get up there and harvest somewhere. Im just totally disgusted and worn out with Drury. I'm sick of spending my money traveling and it's seriously annoying. Not to mention when I got to the car I realized she over charged me. When I swiped my card it said 88.26 when I looked at my bank account they took 102. So not only was my room infested, I got charged extra for their mistake. What you guys wanted to charge me to clean YOUR bugs? I called the hotel and the lady hung up on me twice and then when I called the third time she put me on hold and when they finally picked up I asked to speak to Eileen and they informed me she was cleaning rooms placed me on hold and I left a voicemail and nobody returned my call. So now I'm questioning all...

Location very convenient to airport with shuttle service.

The room was clean other than the tile area being slightly sticky where you could hear it when walking across it with shoes on. Maybe a spill that wasnt cleaned up well? The beds are not the best but I've certainly slept in worse. The hotel does have some age to it.

If not for the poor service at breakfast, I probably wouldn’t have even left a review as the experience was fine other than it. I typically stay at the Mariott but on a recommendation I stayed at the Pear Tree since it was slightly cheaper and offered a free breakfast. I arrived at breakfast approx. 20 minutes before it ended. The breakfast host said they were out of biscuits since someone forgot to turn the oven on or something like that. They had plenty of gravy though. At approx. 15 minutes until breakfast closing, she started cleaning up the waffle area. I went over to make a waffle before the close of breakfast and she said that she had it all turned off. I told her that breakfast wasn’t over in which she replied well I have to have time to clean it up as if she needed to walk out of there at the close of breakfast rather than clean up afterwards. I was obviously a little frustrated with her response telling her that it wasn’t that hard to turn the griddle back on. She got pissy and flipped the switch back on to the iron so I told her to forget it. So no biscuits and gravy or waffles when the selection was already pretty minimal. I thought I would maybe get a bagel with cream cheese but there was no cream cheese offered there. The service sucked, the breakfast sucked, as well as the attitude. It was very clear she didn’t want to be there and doesn’t like her job. I read other reviews on the hotel with similar issues with employees.

The shuttle service was convenient, but the bus will break your back. There is no suspension, and it physically hurt your back when you would hit a bump. It needs some major attention. The driver however was helpful and nice. I reported the issue with the bus to the front desk clerk when checking in to make sure the hotel was aware.

I think next time I will probably stay at the Marriot. The hotel is newer, nicer, and I’ve never had issues there with employees. I have stayed in many Drury hotels over the years and this was the worst experience I’ve had in...

I spoke with a gentleman whom I witness having a discussion with a lady identified, as the assistant general manager. The guy whom I spoke with is a minister, who's nonprofit organization, has been providing voluntary parking lot night security for the pear tree hotel , alone with numerous other hotels located within the vicinity of St Louis Lambert airport. The minister explained, that due to the high volume of car break in his organization , was ask if their crime prevention, program would provide some night security for the hotels in the area. For the past 11 months these volunteers, has spent numerous hours throughout the nights providing security for the parking lots. There is no pay involved what's so ever the service is strictly volunteer. Most of the hotels provide the volunteers, with small gratuities, such as water, bathroom breaks, micro wave, snacks, a place to warm up in the winter and are a place to cool down in the hot summer nights. On this day March 3 , 2025, the minister, was provide by hotel staff a ticket for a free 4oz cup of beer. That's when I noticed assistant general manager Kelly, confronting the minister about using the guest only ticket for the free beer or wine. I felt so sorry for this gentleman, after all he and his organization proved a free service over the months that has resulted in a reduction of car break ins . His service protect guest like myself, and any guest staying at the pear tree, are Wingate hotel. Kelly you should be ashamed of your self for even denying a free 4oz cup of beer, to someone who has worked so hard to provide security service for these establishments FOR FREE. in fact Kelly assistant general manager, you should be fired from your job. You are a very ungrateful person, and unappreciative As a guest I will never reside at this location, and I fore warn all Future guest to not reside at these two hotels, are you will be subject to possible car break ins. They no longer will have the volunteer night security, that has made a difference over the...
