The Parking Spot 1 — Local services in Edmundson

Ok, let me preface this story by saying I had been traveling nearly 24 hours when I returned from a 9 day trip out of the country. I was so jet lagged I couldn’t see straight. I got the shuttle bus at terminal 1 and took it to Parking Spot 1. I got out and took the elevator up to the roof where I had parked my car in uncovered parking and…. Couldn’t find my car. It just wasn’t where I had parked it. So I went downstairs and entered the valet office (I didn’t know the office was near the exit on the other side of the garage) and spoke to one of the valet personnel behind the desk. The gentleman, Brandon, was so nice and helpful and even came up to the roof to help me locate my car. We walked the whole lot up there with Brandon using my key fob to try and find my car. No luck. Ok, we reasoned maybe I had parked at a different location by mistake? Brandon helped explain what happened to one of the shuttle drivers and she in turn helped drive me back to the terminal to get a different shuttle to the other East location. She was so nice as well and as we were driving to the terminal, we talked and finally reasoned that I must have parked at location 1 because of what I remembered when I left my car there. So she drove me back to Location 1 and escorted me into the office to explain. The ladies in the office were so wonderful and helpful. They confirmed I did park at Location 1. Everyone I spoke to was so committed to helping me solve this issue of my car. Finally Brandon returned and he took me up to the roof in a golf cart and, sure enough, we found the car!! It was like a miracle! Found out my key fob needs a new battery though because that’s why my alarm wasn’t chirping earlier. I can’t tell you how amazing every single person I spoke to last night was. I have used Spot 1 pretty exclusively for decades, always unless their lot was full and couldn't actually. The shuttle service has gone down hill over the years but last night on a late arrival I reached the end of my patience. We were terminal 1, got to the pickup point and one couple was already waiting and he had the app up tracking the shuttles and had called them twice already. Waited forever, when I say forever, 4 Spot 3 shuttle, 3 Spot East shuttles and 3 Spot 2 shuttles (not to mention other provder multiple shuttles) came and went during the wait. I called as well. After that they dispatched 2 shuttles who went to terminal 2 and then came through terminal 1, but used the depature area and skipped arrivals area. It was after midnight, they were both not full of departing passengers. Then they went back to the garage and sat there. More people waiting and more calls by others. According to our driver she was a manager who shouldn't be driving but brought a shuttle due to the number of calls. Big surprise they could not fit all the people waiting after 40 minutes of no service. She was on the radio calling for another shuttle but didn't seem to be getting anywhere. Full disclosure they gave a discount at checkout, but it in no way made things ok given the service. Their not my fault attitudes (as self proclaimed managers) didn't do anything to deescalate. Drive to 2, 3 or East or pick another provider. It is a convenient, relatively secure garage but charges more than the other options who provide better service. Never again, not worth the...

I purchased Parking Spot 1 in St. Louis because I was told it was the best. It was the most expensive. We had valet service & a shuttle to & from the airport right across the street. I thought that it would be nice after a full day of flying to get picked up from the airport & straight to our car to finally get home. It was not great. We landed & it was 9pm & cold & rainy outside. I stood outside with about 7 other Parking Spot 1 customers waiting to be picked up. For over an hour, we all waited in the cold rain for a shuttle that was located across the street from the airport. Almost every single one of us called to see where our shuttle was at. I could have walked there in half that time except I had luggage with me & it was dark out. I stayed there with the other customers. We were told our shuttle was on the way which were complete lies. We watched 3 times each as Parking Spot 2, Parking Spot 3 & Parking Spot EAST all drove through to their pick ups. They couldn't get us because we were Parking Spot 1. It was the 3rd time seeing each of those that I knew I spent my money (the most expensive) on the wrong Parking Spot. The employees that answered the phones there to the lady that finally arrived with the shuttle did not care that we were unhappy & had been waiting. She said nothing. Don't waste your money on Parking Spot 1. It starts off great, but you'll be hanging back in the end. I hope it's not hanging back in the cold rain...
