Hello everyone, after my break from posting reviews, I am back. My review today will be on the Marriott Bonvoy in St. Louis, MO. This is one of those places that look below appealing from the outside due to the poor property maintenance and the lack of detail that represents the luxurious status of the Marriott International Inc. While this franchised Marriott Bonvoy is privately operated by LHM (Lodging Hospitality Management) the care given to the grounds lack integrity. The rooms here are rather peaceful and there is little to no noise in the hallways so whether you are a day or night sleeper you will not be disappointed by the quietness. On the other hand, if your vigilance is poor it will seem like a stay that draws you back to be a regular guest here. With that, my vigilance was on par the last few nights as I have noticed some health issues. I would like to point out the accumulation of dust inside my room over the past few days. Whilst I notice the efforts of a light and acceptable cleaning; it was rather with a light hand for anyone with allergies. I've gone out of my way to invest in allergy medicine after my first night here. With my review I leave photos of the amount of allergenic dust that accompanied me with my stay. I would like to point out that the air filters in the rooms are a size 18241 As for service I would like to gratefully point out that the staff are very friendly whether at the bar or expressing any ideas that come with room service. As I am not shy to ask for things I may need that for a more comfortable stay, the time it takes for the request(s) to be taken care of is rather long. If you are in a hurry for something this is not the place to stop and eat. To pay my dues at The Restaurant, I was given the bill along with my meal. To what seemed like a speedy and quick service were short lived. Upon finishing my meal, it was a 13-minute wait for the server to process my dues. The location of this Marriott Bonvoy is amazing. If you are flying into St. Louis, Missouri it is a quick 10-minute shuttle ride to this location. I did load my own luggage on the shuttle only because it was already in my hands. If you are a secure person, you may not like that your luggage awaits you outside the shuttle upon arrival. Check-in is made simple and only takes a minute or two. If you fly in here and are pretty tired this is the place to go. Overall, this...
Read moreI recently stayed at this hotel on March 28 to March 30, 2022. I was excited for my trip, but my room was not! On March 28, I used the mobile chat to find out if checking in at 10:30 was going to be a problem. I received a message back stating No. When arriving to the hotel I was checked in by a Front Desk representative. She gave me my keys but did not say anything to me about my King size room when I was in front of her. When reaching my room, I realize 2 beds! I was then in shock! I relooked at my booking reservation to make sure I was booked for a King. At that point, I promptly call down to front desk to ask why am I in a double bed room. The person on the phone stated she didn’t know. I then asked for my confirmed King bed. She then said they’re No more King rooms. I then said, I wished someone would of said something to me at the front desk at checking in! And when I did several Mobile Chats earlier in the day. Then she goes to say: what you want me to do about it. At that remark said, I asked for a Supervisor. Supervisor came on phone to ask about my problem. She looked over my reservation then she too said Yes, out of King beds. I stressed to Supervisor if I was told about this at checking in. I wouldn’t be upset! I then went to looking the room over & found several things wrong with this room: hair in the bathroom sink & tub, carpet torn by door, deep scratches on end table, spots on coach & chair, empty chip bag on floor & dark spots on curtains! And the mattress was super hard!!!!! After the items being found in the room. I headed to the Front Desk to speak with Supervisor. I showed her the pics of the room. Asked her if she wanted the pics to be emailed to her or the GM. She went to say: she didn’t have a email & gave me housekeeping business card. I asked for the General Manager’s business card. She stated that the GM doesn’t have one either. I found that odd. I then went into discussion that I used 2 Certificates for my stay. And my stay was for a King room reservation not for 2 full beds! Supervisor stated she can give me some points back because I redeemed 2 certificates but I feel the amount said is not enough. Especially since the room wasn’t spotless and had several items wrong with it. Staff needs training on communicating with their guest more! At this time, this hotel only gets a 3 star...
Read moreFrom the moment I checked in until the moment my family and I checked out our experience was AWFUL!!!!! The rooms are very outdated, the front desk staff doesn’t know anything about HOSPITALITY! We check into our room, mold was all over the bathroom ceiling,we had to move at 12/1 am,there was a young lady that was very nice and pleasant, her name was Miyah, she assisted us and was very apologetic about our room, she moved us with no hesitation, she also gave us free breakfast passes, the entire breakfast staff was great, once we moved, our room was a lot better from the other one,we requested for sheets, blankets and was told that they couldn’t find any!I was livid at this point! I went to our room and collected blankets and pillows so that my children could go to sleep, the following night, the power went out,I guess they didn’t have generators becausey family and I was in the dark for almost 3 hours or so,the following morning Rhonda calls my room, not presenting herself in a hospitality manner, she started asking me questions,I asked her what was wrong and she stated nothing, she asked who I check in with and I told her Nick,I asked her was she about to accommodate/compensate us for all the inconvenience that was caused and she stated “the lights been on since last night what else do you want? One of your nights was already comped,I just said ok,and I hung up!I told my family to pack up and let’s go because I’ve NEVER experienced/been treated this way!We checked out a day early! I go to the desk to check out,and Rhonda is at the desk, she doesn’t greet me or anything,I tell her I’m checking out,and I need a printed receipt, and her GM card, she doesn’t respond just continue to ask me….who upgraded my room?Where do I work?where was I from?was it a manager that upgraded my room for three nights?I politely told her that her hospitality was awful, she doesn’t respond,I also said I’ve never experienced this at a Marriott property ever! She still quiet, never apologized, never was sincere,or anything, she hands me my receipt and a card because I requested for the GM info….I was so disappointed in my stay and the staff!:( Miyah,Nick and the breakfast staff was the nicest people that we encountered! I would never ever stay at this...
