Tried this place for the first time as I was delayed overnight and ate at Schlafly in the airport the day before. Was looking forward to the meal as I liked the look of the sandwiches, especially the Grilled Cheese Caprese. There was a decent crowd of maybe 65%-75% full but still many open seats. I grabbed a seat at the bar and a couple had just paid and left about 8 glasses next to me. It took a while to get a menu and then another long while for the person to return behind the bar. He never cleared the mess next to me and when I asked he said "just move to a cleaner space in another seat." Strike 1. I ordered a wine and meal and about 5 minutes later got my drink and 20 minutes my meal dropped off by someone else. My server never came by to ask me how it was, do I need another drink, or anything else. Strike 2. He did finally clean off the bar about 10 minutes before I left and 30 minutes after I arrived. The french fries were great but the sandwich was a disaster. It was supposed to have tomatoes and basil pesto, neither which were on the sandwich. It was soaked on both sides with a balsamic glaze, the grilled Ciabatta bread was a soggy, wet mess and the cheese was a chewy, rubbery blob. One of the worst sandwiches ever. Strike 3. I grabbed a different women and asked about why the sandwich was so bad and she said they ran out of tomatoes and basil pesto but didn't tell anyone. She was kind enough to take it off my bill as I only ate 1/2. She adjusted the bill and I was feeling better until the original server grabbed the bill and when he went to ring it up he began questioning the other server as to why she removed the sandwich. He wasn't happy and said they were throwing away money. Strike 4. I was really pissed and left $5 on a $20.89 bill, which he still didn't deserve. What a dump this place is. Read moreThe server Andrea ignored me, I waited for about 10 minutes as she passed like 10 or 15 times and didn't even look at me. But I saw her ask a few other tables how they were if they needed anything etc. perhaps she did this because I didn't order a drink, I don't like chocolate or plain coffee, and the only other option I can drink is tea which they were out of so I had water. I apologized for not getting a latte because I don't like chocolate, and said I would have water. My food was good but I asked mayo ots and had to get up to get it after not getting her attention like I mentioned. And the guy next to me was only checked on after he was fully done with his meal as well. They were not very busy so I don't understand the poor service. I was pretty excited to eat here since the host was so lovely, but unfortunately he wasn't my server and apologized for her. The cooks did perfect tho, my burger was amazing and the eggs were...
Read moreFood totally fine. Bloody Mary good. Airport prices.
The staff were very energetic and friendly but it was a little overwhelming. One of the servers told my partner not to order what he selected because there was something better on the menu. My partner insisted that he knew what he was ordering, but the server was very aggressive in a joking manner. This was not appreciated. Especially when the server jokingly threw a menu at my face and then apologized and said they weren’t aiming at me. Not sure it matters who or what you were throwing menus at.
Both of our meals came out incorrect. I ordered a burrito and got an omelet. My partner ordered sausage and got bacon. The woman next to us asked for sour cream and sausage three times over the course of 30 min and it was never delivered.
It’s an airport restaurant so we don’t expect a lot, but that was an overwhelming experience. Wear a helmet if you’re...
