This hotel is the epitome of what the Hilton brand should always be! Although I checked in through the Hilton Honors app and had the ability to use a digital key via my phone, I still stopped at the front desk to grab a key card. As soon as I walked through the front door, I was greeted by the employee at the front desk. She was warm and friendly and made sure I knew where to find all of the amenities.

I immediately noticed and remarked on how spotlessly clean everything was, including the windows. (I was super impressed) She called another employee over that had been working hard on getting the windows just right. It was apparent that he took great pride in making everything perfect. I was happy to give him kudos on a job well done. The hotel is new, being open for less than three months ... But we've been to other new hotels that aren't half as clean as this one. There's a level of expectation we have as Hilton Honors members and this place is exceeding that.

Once we were settled in the room (about 30-45 minutes after arrival), the front desk called to make sure the room was okay and to see if we needed anything. What?! This is something I only expect at a resort or 5-star hotel.

The room seems compact upon first entering, but they've added so many awesome storage options and tables that can be rolled out from under another place for added storage or workspace. We had plenty of places to put everything. The TV is huge and clear, great for watching a movie all cozied up in the comfy bed. The bathroom also has everything you need - soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner ... all mounted on the wall (and shower wall) in long, squeezable tubes. Loved it!

Breakfast is complimentary and offers plenty of options: hot or cold cereal; eggs, meat (chicken sausage during our visit, which was delicious); waffles, bagels, toast, pastries, etc. You will find coffee and hot tea in the lobby 24/7, which is awesome!

This will definitely be our go-to spot in Staunton going forward! There are so many cool spots in the area to explore, such as: wineries, amazing restaurants, parks, hiking, shops, etc. Glad to know we'll have a great place to stay in the area.

Check-in is 3pm, check-out is noon. I can't recall the exact breakfast hours, but I remember it lasting a little later than most other places, which is also...

Hotel and grounds are clean. Lobby, hallways, and elevators are clean. Sidewalks and parking lot are clean and free from debris. Front desk and housekeeping personnel were upbeat, friendly, courteous, and attentive to guests. We made our reservation the night before our trip to stay at this hotel. We have stayed at other Tru locations and the cleanliness, outstanding customer service, and upbeat atmospheres are the same, which is nice. We also choose to stay at Tru by Hilton hotels due to the ability of being able to have my service dog with me during my stay. There is no hassle or issues. The staff are very accommodating to us when we stay at a Tru. We had a King bed in our room. When you opened the door to our room you could smell clean. The bathroom was big and spacious as well as the room. We have stayed in the double bed rooms before and were even more satisfied with the one king bed and the huge amount of space this room offered over the double bed. The electric curtains were awesome as well. The floors both in the room and bathroom were magnificently clean. The mirrors in both the room and bathroom were clean and streak free. The counter and sink were very clean. There were enough towels for our stay. The toiletries were stocked. The trash cans were clean with new bags in them. The bed was made with clean sheets and linens. The bed slept fine and the pillows were great as well. We look for places with no carpet due to having a service dog. It is easier to clean the floor by housekeeping. And it is reassuring that there isn't mold, dirt or nastiness that could affect my service dog and potentially make him sick. So we enjoy the no carpet aspect. The breakfast was great. Their were lots of choices from pankcakes to eggs and sausage to bagels and more. The breakfast bar is always stocked and hot during the allotted time for them serving breakfast. The lobby area is spacious and full of bright colors and comfort that is very inviting. There are foosball tables, tv's and places to charge your devices in the lobby. There is a cabana type patio area that offers outside seating, comfort and table games like checkers. We were pleased with our stay and will continue to stay at Tru by Hilton hotels on our trips. Thanks for being...

I am very disappointed in the Hilton Brand today. I have stayed at this particular location a considerable number of times as my daughter is attending college in the area. I called reservations (the online service, not at the location itself) this morning as an almost Diamond Member as I travel for business as well as personal reasons. The young lady in reservations went to book the three rooms I needed for $139.00 a night as I am a retired 100% disabled military veteran. Once she went to submit my reservation it kicked her out of the system. She was very cordial and apologized, when she went to re-enter the reservation it came up at almost $350 per night. This surprised her as well as me. She gave me the direct line to call the hotel. When I talked to Tamara she said that the rates had increased due to graduation. So I asked to speak to the GM and was transferred to her voicemail. I called back a little later and talked to a young lady that was rather rude who informed me that she was the assistant GM (Latoya) and stated that the GM would not be able to do anything regarding the almost quadrupled rate even though they still have multiple rooms available. I understand supply and demand as I travel quite a bit for personal as well as business related events. But at some point in my opinion it bypasses customer care and is simply price gouging and taking advantage of a special event to line their pockets. Very disappointed in Hilton today, but thankfully there are many other hotel chains out their that appreciate our business as well. For example the one that I have now booked that is a better location, bigger rooms, much nicer staff (counting my experience today) and remarkably they were able to beat their rates by a 40% margin. Beware if you go to reserve a room, check around and compare prices, you will be...

This Tru by Hilton is located just off of the interstate and easy to locate. Each time that I have stayed at a Tru by Hilton, I have arrived later than normal, so the only staff members I have an opportunity to interact with are normally those working the front desk. Each staff member I have had an opportunity to speak with has been helpful and cordial. Upon entering the hotel, the front desk is located approximately fifteen feet inside the doors. It is pretty much one large open area with a seating area to the right and the breakfast area to the left, along with a pool table a little further back to the right. There is a small area behind the front desk with an assortment of beverages and snacks. The areas of the hotel that I have viewed are very clean and well maintained. I have my dog with me, so I am always on the second floor or the animal floor, not their words. The rooms are fairly small, but there are no issues from me. I only need a couple of restaurants within walking distance and a bed. I am unable to comment on the breakfast since I have either departed or in the process. Following a long drive, my boy SammyDog does not require a lot of play area. He is normally beaten down from the drive. He refuses to sleep in a normal manner and catches a few winks while sitting. The hotel and rooms are perfect for SammyDog and me. I plan on booking with Tru by Hilton when traveling, and I am sure I will return to the Staunton location. It is difficult to find a better option based on easy access to the interstate, restaurants within walking distance, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and common areas along with good value for pets. Give the Staunton location a try. You will not be disappointed.
