First Watch — Restaurant in Tampa

Excellent food. Don't go if time is limited.

My son and I make bets on who will get worst service as we go separately with others.

I topped him this week..dried egg on coffee cup .....served someone else's meal......took 45 min to get oatmeal and a muffin that was chilled as if just out of fridge..... the coffee pots do not keep coffee hot, just warm. It's as if the majority of servers not only have no experience but no common sense either...but they are all pleasant, laid back...These things happened over visits IN PAST TWO WEEKS. Today I waited 20 min just to be acknowledged in the booth.....this is all at Henderson...I like to go on Crowded SUNDAYS JUST TO WATCH FACES OF FRUSTRATED DINERS.

IF YOU ORDER A MEAL THEN WANT DESSERT THE MEAL DISHES ARE JUST PUSHED OUT OF WAY AND FRUIT OR WHATEVER SQUEEZED IN....NO CLEARING OF TABLES. BUT EVERYONE IS VERY SWEET AND NICE...

...YES GREAT ATMOSPHERE ...GREAT PEOPLE.....GREAT FOOD............

This one does a great business...........so I guess it doesn't matter....I hope!

Update Feb 13, 2019. It got so good.....for quite a while...now back to the beginning again....very frustrating. Restaurant half full plenty of workers about 11 a.m. Seated immediately. 20. Min till server acknowledged. 20 more min to get my drink, 30 more minutes n to get my food. Sausage not even Luke warm, potatoes just a little warmer. There is a lot more competition now so I think I am moving on,,,,,,not starting over .....giving a new restaurant time but this is really irritating and the prices have gone up and the service is down...

I placed an order via one of the online apps and arrived at the time it said my food would be ready. When I walked in the restaurant there was a good amount of customers seated but no staff in sight. I waited by the host station for about 5 minutes, another customer came and stood where I was standing. Finally, a young lady came towards the front with a to-go bag, she did not greet me or anyone else standing at the front. I asked her if the order was for me, she ignored me and cashed out the customer who came to the front AFTER I WAS ALREADY THERE. She was polite to him and started helping him. I pointed out that I was there before he was and I was trying to determine if my food was ready. She rudely replied that there were several people up front waiting for their order and that I needed to move aside. I, again, simply tried to ask her about my order and she rudely stated the food wasn’t ready. No one else ever came from the back of the restaurant. Another customer came in to pick up an order and had to yell to get her attention, she was rude to this customer as well. I will not order from this restaurant ever again and I couldn’t cancel my order because the app wouldn’t provide a refund if “the restaurant already stated preparing the food”. I waited 25 minutes PAST the time the food was supposed to be ready. Another lady brought my food out and I told her about the treatment I received and witnessed. Happy...

I’m going to be completely honest with my review , me and my spouse drove 6.5 hours from Atlanta to come to Tampa for a weekend get away , this was the first spot we came to while visiting Tampa . We came in was seated and dirty table with dirty silverware. We waiting on our waitress for almost 15 minutes just to learn she was standing at the table next to us doing nothing , when we were finally able to place an order another customer came in and I can tell he was a regular. As we are waiting to place our food order I notice our waitress is catering to the “regular “customer every need . When she finally come back to our table to take our order I asked for plastic silverware . I literally watched as me and my spouse sat there for approximately 25 minutes with no food no plastic silverware but the regular customer behind us has everything at this point from food to his coffee . When the food finally comes out it is cold ! I politely asked for a manager immediately and AJ was nothing short of amazing she handled the situation with no hesitation and apologized multiple times on the server behalf . We were well accommodated . It wasn’t until after the manage spoke with him he waitress then she came over and apologized. Overall the food was good but the servers are trash !
