Bahia Tacos — Restaurant in Tampa

I’ve been to Bahia Tacos before, but this recent experience was exceptionally bad. I placed an order for curbside pick up and showed up about 5 min after my pick up time. There is no curbside pick up parking spot or instructions, so I parked and called to let them know I was out back. The woman said the food would be right out. 5 minutes pass (this is now 10 minutes past the time that I scheduled the pick up for) and still no one has come out of the restaurant with my food. I go inside, and wait while the staff prepares other orders. When I’m finally addressed, I told them I was picking up my curbside order and they point to the side counter where it had been sitting, waiting for someone to bring it out.

Not only was this a bad experience service-wise, but the chips were so incredibly stale! I could fold them in half and they wouldn’t break, I had to rip off pieces with my mouth to take a bite. The queso is salty and tasteless and the salsa tastes like artificial tomato paste. I’m giving 2 stars because the tacos...

Solid option for cheap and casual tacos in South Tampa. Down to earth, no frills, chill vibe. Sometimes you want a bartaco, sometimes you want a food truck taco, and sometimes it's 9pm and dang it you just want a taco. No fear, Bahia is here.

I wouldn't bring your mom or a date, but all the friends. I think this is going to become a hot spot for young adults and a staple for quick eats.

Four stars because while some things were fantastic (pico and shrimp were on point!) Others were lackluster (queso was not good, pork was pretty fatty). But for the price I'm not sure I'd complain, it is what it is. If you want more, go somewhere else and spend more.

Service was stellar. The waitress was by herself, running, and at the register, and kept up with our refills and constantly apologized for the wait (like the whole world isn't waiting right now- #thankscovid).

Wouldn't Recommend This Place To My Worst Enemy. I Try To Try New Restaurants All Through The Area And Just Wanted To Give This Place A Try Cause My Daughter Pointed It Out. When I Ordered And Waited I Seen A Roach Running Across The Table. Flag 1. I Asked Cashier Was Specialty Meat Different From The Other Meat. She Stated " No We Only Charge You Xtra For Steak" But Instead Of Getting A Refund Still Wanted To Give Them A Try. I Was Charged Xtra For Shrimp But Tbh I Woulda Ate Else Where Instead Of Paying 11.95 For This Disaster. The Food Had No Flavor And Rice Tasted Like It Just Been Sitting Out.
