Colemans Resort — Hotel in Tawas City

We stayed at Coleman's Aug 11-18, 2018. Our first time there, after staying at other resorts in the area. We totally enjoyed our stay! the cabins are clean, and spacious! they offer everything you need to enjoy your week. Queen beds, extra fans, towels, linens and dishes are provided. We loved the little extra touches of the cute folded hand towels with the painted rocks on them! The beach is great, the firepit is going every night for fun with neighbors making smores! Each cabin has its own parking spot right in front of their door, so it helps with packing and unpacking. the property is kept up beautifully with flowers and decorative pots. We did have quite a lot of bugs from the trees, with biting flies, bees and fish flies at night, so more pest control would surely be appreciated outside. :) We can't say enough good things about the owners/operators. Elaine and Brian are wonderful, kind people that make you feel right at home and part of their family. they are always willing to help and make your stay enjoyable in every way. We look forward to staying here again next year and hopefully for years to come! Its' our new family vacation spot from now on! thank you for having us and we can't wait...

Ive always camped at campgrounds but this was the first year we tried Cabins and I don't ever want to go back to pop-ups and public bathrooms. Coleman's Resort was the best of both worlds between a campground and hotel. It's located on the water with the farthest cabins being less than a 30 sec walk away so there's no need to pack up coolers and beach bags and lug them to a public beach.

The cabins are basically stocked with most of the essentials which was a huge relief after we realized we left our coffee-maker and fan at home, both of which came in the cabin.

The best part may be the owners. Two of the most down-to-earth genuine people you will meet. We already booked our next stay before we even left...

We recently held our family reunion here and it was terrific! We have a reunion every two years in the area, but this was the first time that we have been back at Coleman's in almost 30 yrs. We already are making plans for two years from now. The cabins were clean and well equipped, the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The owners were very friendly. There to help or answer questions. We always have a shuffleboard tournament when we get together and it was a great success!. The views, the cabins, the atmosphere .. all top notch!! We look forward to...
