Bear's Den — Hotel in Tellico Plains

I’m giving 2 stars only because the main floor of the cabin is beautiful. That’s about the only good thing. When we got there, there was an infestation of Asian lady beetles. Basically invasive lady bugs that bite and destroy clothing with their excrements. They were literally EVERYWHERE. It was so bad, other people who were with us are still finding them in their clothes and in their luggage days after we left. I understand it’s a local problem, but it was unacceptable how bad it was. We called and asked for a vacuum so we could at least clean up the thousands (not an exaggeration, and probably an understatement) of dead ones that were everywhere. Our request was completely ignored. Every time I went down to the office, they were “closed” even during business hours. On top of that, several toilets were leaking. This place is reasonably priced, but its NOT worth it. You get what you pay for it, which is a terrible experience here. We will never be back and I suggest you look elsewhere. Most definitely a rip off on the cabins. I paid about 250 a for a night at one of there cabins located on a embankment by itself. The lady had told me the room wasn't clean yet and to go down to ironworks grille to eat and it should be clean. I had sat there at ironworks for over 2 hours. Got tired and went back to the cabin. Thinking it should have been cleaned. About 15 minutes later a lady named Jennifer came and was completely rude to me and my guest, stating I should have not been in the cabin at all and the front desk told me this already.. Great food a original loca of l.. (Tellico Plains) recommended Iron Works and it's a must! wonderful views of the mountains ⛰️ and river 😀 pet friendly 🐕 order anything it's gonna be good 😋 lots of food. Very nice wine and cocktail 🍸 👌 list ... and just a nice relaxing Atmosphere.. I recommend The "Tellico Plains Lady"...
