Iāve been trying so hard not to write this, but here we are. Chipotle, youāre officially losing me, someone who has been eating here multiple times a week for years. Honestly, itās almost impressive how fast the quality has dropped.
I used to love this place. Now every visit feels like a gamble⦠and lately, I keep losing. I donāt like losing.
Maybe itās the staffing. Maybe itās the leadership. Maybe itās the fact that half the team looks like they were handed a scoop and a prayer and shoved onto the line. I donāt know what it is but itās painfully obvious that whatever made this place good has left the building, and left running like an Olympian sprinter.
This location is wildly inconsistent. One visit, the food is halfway decent. The next, itās like nobody even tried. On my last trip, nothing, and I mean NOTHING had any seasoning. The guac I paid extra for tasted like wet cardboard. The double steak bowl (that I paid even more extra for)? Bland, dry, no flavor whatsoever and pieces too big to chew. Iām starting to think theyāre just rinsing the meat in water and calling it a day.
And donāt even think about ordering ādoubleā anything for pickup. Youāll pay for it, but youāll get a sad, regular scoop like you just wished for more in your heart. Iām not asking for charity, Iām paying an extra $6. Respectfully, give me the double meat I paid for.
The prep is a whole separate mess. ⢠Sometimes the steak is perfectly cooked. ⢠Sometimes itās raw and pinker than a Valentineās Day card. ⢠Sometimes the pieces are cut so tiny you could eat them with a straw, and other times theyāre so big you need a steak knife and a prayer to get through it. (I pray a lot here) ⢠Half the time the chicken looks boiled instead of grilled.
Itās the luck of the draw. And lately? My luckās been trash. Maybe Iām the problem.
Then thereās the staffing vibe. Some employees scoop like theyāre terrified they might accidentally give you a normal human portion. Half-scoops. Quarter-scoops. āBlink and you missed itā scoops. Iām all for portion control, but this is just disrespectful.
And while Iām at it, shoutout to the older lady with the smeared lipstick (if you know, you know) who used to guard the toppings like it was coming out of her 401(k). Customer service? Never heard of her.
I was loyal. Two to three times a week loyal. But at this point? Iām tired of paying real money for mystery meals and attitude.
And donāt bother trying to get a refund. Pepper, the chatbot, will happily spin you in circles like itās the teacups ride at Disneyland, before ghosting you completely.
IF you somehow reach a real human (big if), theyāll politely pretend to listen, then disconnect the second they decide youāre not getting your money back. No empathy. No ownership. Just wasted time and frustration.
The only way to get anyone at the store to pick up the phone is to report āfood poisoningā which, letās be real, feels like a looming possibility at this point, and even then, donāt hold your breath. Theyāre not answering.
Unless something seriously changes soon, such as better training, better management, better standards, Iām done. And you should be too! Iāll be making Chipotle-style bowls at home from now on, and at least then, I know what Iām getting and just might taste better.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in for the first time in about 6 months, immediately said Iāll have 2 Barbacoa burritos he started and asked again for the meat and toppings so I stated white rice,beans,and barbacoa then he proceeded to put 1/2scoop of a meat I asked for more since he hadnāt put a full scoop then I told him for the rice and beans and Barbacoa on the other. I went in to put the cheese and sauces on the first one while he was doing the second burrito then I went to pay while the second one was getting finished I saw the total was $50 and I was confused but I understood I got chips and guacamole and maybe they were stingy and over charged me for that āextraā scoop But well they actually put smoked brisket into both of my burritos⦠I am stunned though it was fine to eat it was a very different taste an $2 more than the meat I get that is already one of the more expensive meats they offer. I just am in aw of the fact I swore I told him 5-10 time that the first and second had Barbacoa and the best part is they charged me for a second scoop aswell on the other burrito even though that one had not a lot of meat. I am definitely going to stick with Cava I called and the manager stated I could have a full refund for my inconvenience. So I am very grateful and I hope they have better employees who learn the correct meats and not try to over charge a young woman who wonāt say something when the totals a little higher than it should be. So when I went back in, it was the same two men that checked me out and I had to explain to them what happened and I guess the woman who I called didnāt write my name down like she said she would and they were all very confused because she told no one that she was giving me a refund I spoke to one manager he got confused and gave me a refund for one side of Brisket when I didnāt want brisket in the first place and either of my burritos. Then, when I asked to speak to his general manager, she came out and she was sweet, but she asked if I had my burritos still mind you it has been around two hours. I threw them away. I do not have them. Why would I have my burrito still after I called and you told me you would give me a full refund for my order or comp My full next order It is very unprofessional and highly unorganized and it makes me shake that I had to go through all back and fourth and walk out check my receipt to see how much he refunded me like he didnāt say anything to me about how much I was getting refunded and then was shocked when I walked back up and asked for his general manager of that even though I already called to clarify the situation and to get my refund or the burritos remade or something because I just spent $50 when my total shouldāve been around $35. Lastly when the general manager was giving me my final refund She stated to me that oh well next time just try to make sure you tell them to put the right meat in So I stated to her that no you obviously are still confused because youāre I told your employees over 10 times to put Barbacoa in both my burritos and they still charged me and put brisket in my burritos even though brisket never came out...

Tried to call it in but it was to late store was closing. went in the next day asked for a manager he was so rude and defensive instead of helping me he argued with me and then ran to the back of the store and never came back⦠so unprofessional the bowl was not touched he stated he had no one on his crew with black hair I looked at his crew several people with black hair and lying to me. Anybody would have been disgusted with somebody elseās hair in their food. Instead of helping me argued and got defensive. Very disappointed they made me a fresh bowl and serving sizes got Evan smaller than the first one that was made with the nasty hair!!!! $20 plus tip they did not deserved!!!! for all the inconvenience, and him saying all he could do was make me a fresh bowl!!! Than do that why argue ??? Cause Iām a women ???cause Iām short??? We are all human and accidents happen but the way I was Treated was unprofessional anybody would have been upset and he was making accusations like I put my hair in the food I paid and driver...
