Traveling through and stopped here for an early dinner. About a 10 minute wait for a table. Quick service, despite how busy they were. I had the shrimp tacos and my friend had the burrito. I wish I'd taken a picture of it, biggest burrito I think I've ever seen! Burritos are definitely bigger in Texas 😆. I had the shrimp tacos, which were also pretty big. I was full after one. Both were delicious. Oh! The guac was yummy and there was a salsa verde include in the table salsa selection that was unlike any salsa verde I've ever had. Spicy, but with a slight sweetness at the end. I should have asked for some to go. Anyway, we sat there eating and talking, and I noticed the restaurant was empty. They'd closed (closing early for the holiday) and were cleaning up to go home and didn't bother us to wrap it up and get out or anything. Of course when I noticed we did and apologized, but they were so kind and welcoming and the manager (owner?) walked out with us and chatted with my friend as I was letting the pup stretch his legs. Nice little family run spot with delicious food and good people. I'll definitely stop again whenever I'm...
Read moreWe loved this place! When we walked in, it was so cute, comfortable, and felt SUPER clean. The high chair for our little one was so neat and practical. And something to note that I always personally pay attention to is that the high chair was very clean when I wiped the touchable parts down. No residue came off on the wipe like most other communal high chairs in restaurants. The seating in general is comfortable, and there's space to move around.
Our waiter was so nice and attentive. I took a little longer to figure out what I wanted because I had to feed the little one, but I didn't feel rushed at all. The menu is very simplistic but effective. It really makes the ordering process straightforward and easy.
The food came very quickly after ordering (there weren't very many others dining in at around 4 when we went). It was DELICIOUS. My husband had the street tacos, and I had the Enchiladas Verdes with a side of grilled shrimp. We were both very happy with our meals. Additionally, the salsas were also super tasty!
We had a very pleasant experience and will...

I came to Casa Carlos on a whim after someone recommended it, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered a burrito expecting something filling, but what I got was the size of a newborn baby. No exaggeration—this thing was the length of my forearm and packed with flavor from end to end. When the server casually called it “the three-day burrito,” I thought they were joking... they weren’t.
Both the red and green salsas were incredible, but the green one really blew me away. Sweet, savory, spicy, and super complex—it was unlike any salsa I’ve had in Texarkana. You can tell they put care into the flavors.
Everything felt homemade and authentic, the portions are outrageous (in the best way), and the vibe is just warm and welcoming. This isn’t fast food—it’s slow-cooked flavor and full-on comfort. Will definitely be back—once I finish this burrito,...
