Firstly, let me say that Taste of India is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Upon entering, you are immediately greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, the wait staff are always very friendly and quick to make outstanding suggestions, the owners and the cook staff are hard working and loving people I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with. You will be treated like family there.

Now, let's talk about their food - specifically the naan bread and the yellow dal lentil with rice. The naan bread at Taste of India is by far the best I have ever had. It is warm, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The garlic naan is a personal favorite of mine, but all of their varieties are simply amazing.

The yellow dal lentil with rice is another standout dish at Taste of India. The combination of the lentils, rice, and spices creates an explosion of flavor that is unmatched. It is the perfect dish for those who appreciate hearty and filling vegetarian cuisine.

Aside from the amazing naan bread and yellow dal lentil with rice, Taste of India has a wide range of other excellent dishes as well. From the fragrant biryani to the flavorful curries, there is truly something for everyone. Their chicken tikka masala and vindaloo are also must-try dishes that are out of this world.

"Our family enjoyed the authentic flavors of India at this hidden gem. We ordered tandoori chicken, butter naan(fire roasted flat bread) and chicken tikka masala. Our freshly made order had a rich, clean taste with the characteristic spice of Indian food without going overboard. Our service was prompt and courteous. The restaurant was not packed for a Friday night, but the majority of business was done with pickup orders. The place was clean and friendly and a great night out. My wife read it and when we were in Texarkana today for a Quaker Meeting, we stopped for lunch.

We ordered the same dishes from that earlier review...

And I added cheese 🧀 naan...which was wonderful with my spicy chicken Tikka masala...and lots their wonderful rice! And chai tea too!

Good Rice and Dark Chai are critical to Northern India style cooking.

My recent pick-up order from India Bar and Grill left me thoroughly disappointed. Despite the positive reviews, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon reaching my hotel, which was a significant distance away from the restaurant, I discovered they had forgotten to include the mango lassis I had ordered. Although the straws were provided, the lassi was nowhere to be found.

When I contacted the restaurant, the gentleman who answered the call not only failed to offer a sincere apology but also attempted to blame me for their oversight. Furthermore, when I requested a refund for the missing item, I was informed that I would have to return to the restaurant with my credit card, as they were unwilling to issue a refund over the phone.

Adding to the disappointment, the quality of the food itself was lackluster. Both the butter chicken and chicken curry failed to meet expectations in terms of taste, despite adequate portion sizes.

Overall, my experience with India Bar and Grill was marred by poor customer service and mediocre food quality. I would caution others to think twice before ordering from this establishment, as my experience left much...
